*sigh* Taking sides in a player war.
*throws up hands*
Well, I'm glad it was posted IC so we at least got an idea what is going on when people start dropping. That was the original intent, right?

Alright, I’ll talk about the facts:
Sunday night Ralph was passing by West Styne, don’t really remember where to, with his brother William. The spot was being attacked by eirinyes and as any half-celestial would do they engaged the battle against the baatezus.
After some slashes and crushes the usual talk begun: “What was that?”, “Where did they come from?”, etc… Then Sirrus Montblanc killed Felix and laughed, which made Whispering Oak really mad, and begun discussing with Sirrus. Lanah and Jade agreed to help Sirrus to teach some respect to the elf. The brothers Alight could not let a friend like Whispering be harmed, especially in an unfair combat of three against one. So the six went to the King’s Forest to see what was going to prevail: The honour of the thief or The respect for the little cat.
The brothers and the elf were getting the combat just fine, Sirrus laid on the ground, Lanah was frenetically casting time stop to try to cure or escape and Jade was running south, both girls near death. Ralph followed Jade, but before he could catch her some planar beings came and got him with I think four or five blows.
After I respawned Ralph and went there to see how things were going and, if demanded, give Ralph as a prisioner. I saw some others players fighting more planar minotaurs and eirinyes. William was being held as hostage, but after some time he was released and the player logged out, really mad, and after a while he called me and told how piss he was.
Ralph went back to West Styne and there threaten Jade, and told her that Tyr was going to help his sons. Then happened what really made me sad, the incredibly invulnerable impossible bizarre extraneous touch-and-kill shades appeared and killed Whispering and some others that were there.
Me, the player, was really mad and I posted this for revenge, for which I must ask everybody sorry. After an IM I exchanged with Avengers I realized that my action here was not based upon fun and roleplay, it was based upon revenge and, at some level, childish from me.
I figured that I stepped in a plot where there is no role for Ralph, or Will, or Whispering, and they may not defeat the girls and the thief. Ralph is going to get back to his duties, after all Zacho is very busy healing people and someone needs to clean the temple and feed the mouth that floats over the altar…

To Ralph and all the others involved in this Melee in the Forest.
The incident with Whispering was unfortunate as the Prince sneakily (Clever RP) drew Jade and I into it at the same time as a sub-Plot involving the Planars was happening. The result turned into a mini melee with planars as Allies...Sorry, but Fredian is an evil world sometimes...thats why we have you good Paladins ;-)
I logged long before all the town action kicked off again, but please do not opt out of any plot you see happening...We are all in this together and as far as I am concerned, if you are around anything that makes you react you become as much a part of it as you want.
This would be no fun for anyone if we all couldn't join in, as well as the excellent RP you and I have had already Ralph.
In the end it is a game that can get a bit over emotional so take a step back and enjoy the fun of it.
Lanah......

Hmm, ok a few things to think about. Just because you are upset at things that are happening doesn't mean your character isn't ALSO upset. It's good your seperating the two, that prevents metagaming. But, your characters were there, they are in the plot now by definition, as Cella points out. I don't think anyone should be excluded from plotlines in general, nor do I think they are. You found a hook into the plot, dig in. So you wanted revenge, get it, I don't see any reason why the 'war' has to stop. As far as fighting DMs, yes it CAN be frustrating, but realize they are not trying to make it that way for the most part. Also, things happen in real time, sometimes there isn't time to explain what's happening or why, until after it's happened. That's on both DMs and players, we can only type so fast, and sometimes clicking (ala attack/run/cast/whatever) is more important at that moment.

Whispering Oak will only think and refer to you as prince what's his face, the kitten killer.
As far as Lanal making pacts with ultra powerful creatures, we'll have to find a way to break that pact or over come it, which means we will need to find out what that pact is. Whispering Oak will just have to visit the very powerful oracle living just outside of Styne to see if he can help uncover the plots going on. Good paladins, clerics, and those who fight for justice, fairness and rightousness may not want not wait for me , my connection with this realm is unstable, I have no recollection of where I am at when not here, I only know I am not in Fredian at all times anymore (college classes have started, and I have a few obstacles in addition to trying to re-sharpen my mind).
Some of you may know the oracle I speak of, he is currently staying with a friend.

Lanahs pacts are formed from her parental background and certain items she holds in her possession.
Ask around and people will explain her background, She isn't and won't be random killing...I have no desire to turn her into a PK killing machine at all...Evil comes in many flavours...prepare to taste this one.

Good form in taking responsibility for any inappropriate behavior on your part Norlinor. Best if it had never made it here to begin with, but owning up to it is admirable. Hopefully others may learn from this example as well.

I guess Whispering Oak has two causes now:
1st: To aggressively inform Damien Swift he would be better off if he left Fredian
2nd: To break the evil pact between Lanah and whatever creature(s) she is dealing with

Hmmmm, for that Ralph would say:
My Talking-Tree friend,
Count on me!!! I heard about this Demian and we will show him that light may blind. And don't worry, in time you'll not need to raise me so many times as usual, I'm already looking for the better armor as you suggested.
May the Even-Handed alight your heart.
Your fat friend,
Ralph

*Sighs* If it comes to this... I know that Sir Berek will be pleased to have new blood on his sword.
