"always read the last chapter of a book first, that way, if you die tomorrow you know how the story ended." (quote from memory, so I guess it really isn't a quote, but whatever).

and now for something completely different: The Gothrek & Felix series by William King.
A cheap ass novel based on the warhammer fantasy world but I read the 5 books in less then a week.... just brilliant!

Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. It consists of many books, but those are for the fanatics, you only really need to read the first one or two.
Of course, they will make you a fanatic....
The first one is called "Eye of the World"
IMHO, Robert Jordan's skill at character development is second to none...

Thank you all for the feedback . Terry Brooks - Recently released 2 books that have complete sections of his works inside Sword, Elfstones, and wishsong of Shannara in one. and the heritage series in another. I went with the complete series of Terry Brooks. The sword of shannara trilogy, and a a nice hardcover version of the heritage series. And while I was there, also picked up the Demons and dark destiny series (The word and the void) in one bundle. See you all in 16 days... Zhoreb
