Tacked to the wall in the W. Styne Inn
A call to all the Elves that walk beneath the boughs, moon, & sun.
Let us join in council to discuss matters which concern our people on this island. On the night of the next full moon come to the circle of trees in Cara Unscathe.
Ameng & Elith Reliner
OOC Information Time: 7pm IoF (PST) Wednesday July 7th or whenever night falls on the server around that time.
Place: Cara Unscathe (north end)
Reason: Mostly to meet one another. Other items on the agenda might include.
1. Guild Alliances.
2. How to best help Elves new to the island.
3. Guild recruitment, for whichever guilds show.
4. Mutual protection, many wars seem to be brewing...(aren't they always)
5. The growing number of our Drow cousins on the surface. This is not to be about the genocide of the Drow, only about keeping tabs on them and protecting ourselves & others if the need should arise. (We'll need to sort this out in RP).
6. Organized ranger patrols of the wilderness. This is a bit vigilante, but let's see if we can come up with something.
7. Crafting trade & information sharing.
Please reply to this thread if you are coming & let us know which character. Also please tell other elves in game.

We can gather a consensis on the time if others have too much trouble with it. If anyone else has a time issue please post it & we'll try to adjust to the best for everyone.

Please feel no need to schedule around me - Im a night owl - I just need to choose my pre-10pm (local time) events sparingly so as not to upset the wife This will not pose a problem this once.

The duskryn family and Anoushka would like to make an appearance as well. Probably not welcome, but they would love to get a chance to explain to the surface brethren what they believe and must be done on this island. The time is very inconvenient for me (IoF +9), so If I don't make it, and you will allow a Dark Elf to speak in front of the assembled elves, this is in short what would be said:
We, from house Duskryn do not follow Lolth. In fact, we seek the downfall of all her clergy and the end of her suicidal, self destructive grip on drow society. Our god is called Vhaeraun. He doesn't have many followers here on Fredian. That's why we would greatly apreciate any help you could give us in our silent battle against the disciples of Lolth. By removing her flock, we can weaken Lolth herself. And if we weaken her enough, our Lord can step in and destroy her.
One of his other goals is to reunite the elven race...
*examins the reactions of the gathered elves*
That is all you have to know for now. Come speak with us if you want to know more. And please, think about this.
*With a nod, Bernith'ri leaves Cara Unscathe*

Thanks Zhoreb, let's set up a meeting between Elith & Anoushka. PM me a good time we could meet before the council & we'll RP it. He will be sure that your words are heard in council. She still owes him 6 pelts worth of goods anyways.

Hahaha, Anoushka may have a short memory when it comes to being a debtor. But strangely enough, she has a very keen mind as a creditor. However, she does remember the pelts. It was a nice initial payment for some real equipment.
But anyway, it will be Bernith'ri attending. Anoushka is just the trader associate of the Duskryns.
I will be on for a few hours tonight (IoF +9), perhaps we can cross paths then.

***A NOTE ON DROW, RELIGION, AND CARA UNSCATHE***
Vhaeraun is the son of Lolth and his flock is not considered to be hostile to hers. They often ally, though it is usually uneasy and often ends in betrayal.
The only GOOD drow deity is Lolth's daughter Elistraee, and she is considered to be subservient to her father, Corellon Larethian's elven pantheon instead.
While Fredian is NOT Fearun, drow allying with followers of good gods or serving them outright will be plagued by evil drow who serve the Valsharess and Lolth.
Face it folks, drow are not nice people, and they turn on each other first and others second. Blasphemous drow will get first treatment from the Underdark followed closely by the greatest of drow enemies and then the populace at large.
Drow, even those of good persuasions, will not be welcomed at Cara Unscathe. Lady Anade is Queen there, and she will not take the risk of drow in her camp. If they want to enter the tomb and let the guardians there kill them, so be it. If not, she and her rangers will see to the safety of their refuge.
*grins*
I look forward to seeing all of you from both Lady Anade's eyes and the Valsharess'...

This is OOC Information about the motives of the Duskryn family and their worship of Vhaeraun.
Dogma of Vhaeraun:
The shadows of the Masked Lord must cast off the tyrrany of the Spider Queen and forcibly reclaim their birthright and rightful place in the Night Above. The existing drow matriarchies must be smashed, and the warring practices of twisted Lolth done away with so that the drow are welded into a unified people, not a squabbling gaggle of rival Houses, clans, and aims. Vhaeraun will lead his followers into a society where the Ilythiiri once again reign supreme over the other, lesser races, and there is equality between males and females.
On the outside, it may seem Vhaerauns followers have much in common with those of Lolth.
But there is subtle opposition on Faerun. When they have to ally themselves, it is out of neccessity, to remain silent and hidden from the scrutiny of Lolth. But a little backstab now and then..... On the isle of Fredian however, the power of Lolth is limited. Some Vhaeraunians may seize to oppurtunity to preach about the unity of elves and later about elven dominion.
If the queen won't listen to it, so be it. I've found other ears that will listen.
* Vhaeraunians are encouraged to preach heresy about the unity of elves. Use the surface elves, who may or may not believe in a good god, to further their own goals. In this case, end Lolths power on drow society. Thus we say we want to unite the elven races. (and what the surfacers don't have to know yet, we strive for elven dominion, under drow supervision...)
* He opposes all other underdark gods, including 'mother' Lolth and sister Ellistrae. But his opposition to Lolth is subtle. He lacks the power to oppose her directly...yet!

I remind you all that the Drow were but one matter for a council to discuss. Please, let this lie until after the council.
