CD Key Screw up

Hey guys,

Got a bit of a problem. My wife's harddrive cracked, so I had to get her a new one. This of course meant a complete re-install of NWN. Unfortunately, our books with the cd keys got mixed together, so I have apparently re-installed her NWN with at least one of my cd keys. Is there any way to: 1) find out what cd keys are registered under your account and 2) change them?

yes tere is actually somewhere in your C drive under neverwinter folder will be a file with your details there..

its called nwncdkey

if you cant find it use search for files.

yup taylor's right, nwncdkey.ini contains your cd keys so you can open both files (one on your comp, one on your wife's) and compare them.

in addition, you can use the nwn.bioware.com site to enter your cd keys under 2 accounts so you donæt mix em up in the future and you can check theright ones and copy-paste them into the file the next time, since its tedious to type them from the book

and you won't have to reinstall, just change that nwncdkey.ini file and you're good to go.

Figures it would be something as complicated and arcane as a file named nwncdkey... I mean, who would ever think to look there? It's too obvious, which means it must be a trap. As soon as I open the file, spikes will probably pop out of the floor, but luckily I've got my Bathrobe of Improved Evasion on, so I'll be able to dodge them, but I'll dodge right onto the negative energy trap and then I'm screwed. Either that or I've been playing too much NWN and I should just go make a sammich. Mmmmmm sammmiches.
