Witness my first event ever written! Saturday 6:00pm Pacific Time, 1/31/04 Development needs are picking up and I'm way booked with company on top of it (my wife's mother is visiting from China for 10 days). Clients at work are fussy too.... So no new events this week And no Frost, you can't participate. You were level 6 last time you did this event.... Ssshh! No spoilers. Capped at *6* players! This quest has super low levels in mind. Like, level 1 or 2 people. High levels are encouraged to participate with any new makes if they are planning on any. But if you don't mind slashing through bandits like they weren't even there........ you could bring a highbie along. Never fear, though, the core enjoyment is in its deliciously intriciate plot. Last time I ran the event it was actually a bit of a hit, so it will be interesting to see how it comes out this time. I doubt any two groups will take advantage of the same RP opportunities. I'm not setting any expectations; the sky or the pit is the limit =-)

Its Friday night and the signups are FULL. If I am on Sunday and you couldn't make it and are not watching the super bowl, send me a tell. I might run it again on Sunday on a spur, but that would depend on factors (like any RP drama that may follow the Saturday event), and I intend to steer clear of anything cartoonic is doing, since he does a lot of stuff on weekends and this isn't tentative *at all*. But if there is the time, the space, the people, and the availability, it could happen. For Saturday however, all systems are definitely go for the signup crew. Cheers! (I might be a bit tired because I will be driving to the airport in LA, then making a stop in Venice Beach to drop off some gifts, and then going to my home in SB, and then do my taxes with my sister who is an accountant.... But with whatever energy I have left after this long day I'll do my best to DM the event )

Ran this puppy on Sat and Sun.
The first group got pretty mixed up on the latter half, and actually successfully completed the quest but lacked the information they needed to realize they had closure.
The second group did a pretty good job with Zachaz (preedy1978) having it all figured out the whole way, but for some reason the party wouldn't listen to his suggestions and decided to do the opposite, resulting in a rather humorous display of idiocy and backtracking. They did a lot better in determining where the real guilt lay, but suddenly at the end Pesti dived into the Tyr portal, allowing the bandit to pull a blade from his boot and slash his bindings. Piers Asen chased the bandit a few screens, and surely would of killed him, but for some reason turned back, and the bandit got away! ho ho ho
Thanks all for coming. It is one of my more mentally challenging events.
