It is time for more rhyme! Sign Razzler up for the fun, to annoy a few, make a pun, and tell the tale true.
All can rhyme but it must make sense. Adventurers hate it, but they are too tense...
But I got more than one trick, as you will see, the Razzler Glee, the Fantastic Dazzler Schlee will prove. He can speak straight, but wait, it is not to boast. Only when the audience likes it most...
He is lower than 25 =-) Got haste?

;D Hehehe, not quite 10 people... but still very fun. I think this quest is great for people to see the island. I think we should have more "Troll-Tour-Guides". Just next time, avoid the traps... *sniffs the air of burning flesh* ... Mmm Mmm ... Chicken... *drools* All-in-all I say it was a really fun quest... but, my only advice tip would be to Hell Ball upity players! WE LOVE OUR DM's!-Lumix *ponders how a party with 2 Bards made it out alive*

Lots of fun! Thanks to all party members who helped make Ameng's first event entertaining. Too bad we got off to such a rough start, but that's what makes it interesting.

Thanks for a good event even if a little rocky at the outset...I'll throw up another one later this week most likely...and I look forward to seeing Razzler's version of events without the pressure of having to write the Verbena version as well.

Mala - what was the name of the Kipling book you suggested we read? I immediately forgot the name. Thanks!

Man, that blackguard "paladin" was a real wild ride for the group. I felt that the character of Hardorn had a lot more to contribute, but was killed too early on. In fact, he may have provided important info/roleplay and forced Mitza to improvise. One of the things I have learned from doing so many events myself is always assume they will kill your npcs. This guy was a little bit more in character (albeit a strange character imho), you can get people who will just cut anything down because they can. I usually try not to solve this with marking them invincible because it takes realism out, although the invincible card can be played in very critical places that you can't work out. There are various story elements that can be worked out to solve the surprise death of your npcs, but it is definitely the blind spot while driving the car, so to speak. Any npc you create you have to ask "What if some idiot tries to kill it, rob it, torture it, etc.." Team evil has tied up, cast domination spells, and tortured nearly every npc I have ever made on events Then killed them when they were done. Mitza in fact may have already asked herself this, and the way the event unfolded could of been in fact apart of her prepared response to this situation. But I thought I would throw it out their to event makers everywhere Razzler wanted to believe the troll was good, but couldn't get past the trollness. His presumption that trolls are evil beings was too thick for him to get past. In the very end, he was convinced that the troll was in fact genuine, but only after its death. He has mixed feelings about Vandon, mainly because he could not see more of Hardorn to compare his own assessment of Hardorn with Vandon's characterization of him. I think from DM improv, Vandon's characterization of Hardorn is probably the conclusion we would of arrived at, or should of arrived at, had Hardorn lived. I don't know why but I can just smell this stuff Tell me if I'm right Mitza? The party was mostly neutral/good in RP as far as I could see, and evils if any were keeping a low-profile. I think it would of been comic to see evil people siding with the troll against Hardorn in thinking that would be the more dastardly action, when in fact in the end, it may have ended up being the more noble, in which case, said evil players would probably try to swing the other way against Vandon once convinced of the nobility of the troll, and it would of made for interesting conflict with those who RPing the other side of the pendelum. I think it was a nicely written event. Thank you for preparing and performing that for us. I had some fun.

Aww, you just brought a smile to my face. Oh an thanks for noting the last part, that's especially important after the first. All witnesses will be conspirators or dead if I can have my way. ^.^ You know, several of us would be willing to have planned parts in the events. I'm going to float the idea again of good/evil sides of a quest, but it doesn't have to be a total melee like last time. IE take certian evil players and use us instead of NPCs. Sure if you want a show down in the end, thats ok, but it doesn't have to go that way. Anyways, just something to think about, sometimes when I'm in a quest it's kinda hard to get motivations for evil characters (most quests have good natured endings, ala save the pricess/town/townfolk). And when that little obsticle is cleared, evil can overcome the party quickly, making the good people question their motives for being with us.

Not just evil - goods too. Even in a team evil event, a good PC may be willing to risk torture... besides some of the team evil crew might be a little less overt if they know that there may be long term repercussions to thier actions because they opened up on a PC instead of an NPC

Good point, I'm just leaning on the 'there are generally more goodies than baddies' and trying to accommodate. But sure, if there was a real evil party, it would work that way too... Maybe, maybe..... with some... just maybe... But I doubt it. ;D Didn't help Vugor out when someone asked for the 'strongest heart.'
