Okay so 180+ black bat pelts later I finally noticed that the smoker is taking 2 hides instead of one per attempt. Also in that 180+ pelts I have gained a total of 2 points in skill and 1 useable hide. Is this normal or is something tweaked?

Hmm, well, bats arn't very big, unless they were vampire bats. I reckon most couldn't even be a foot long from head to rear. You would definitely have to use a few bats and sew their skins together to make a pelt. since it didn't require sewing thread, something is definitely tweaked. But we threw it out to make it easier for you  |

Toon saw what I mean by the taking two hides. I wasn't imagining things.
As for the reality of it, no it would take one bat to make one bat pelt. That pelt would not be that useful for much of anything, but it would still be complete unto itself...perhaps I could have used it to make a new coin purse for the embezzling Mr. Hald?
