Weekdays are a little tough for me, but hopefully soon enough they will be completely open after 3:00 p.m- 9:00 p.m. california time. On weekends.. I am all free. Thanks Mala for the opportunity. My favorite characters are the clerics, but im willing to be just about anything.

I'd suggest restricting the parties alignment to either good/neutral or neutral/evil. Having played way too many PnP campaigns with a rainbow of alignments that have gone sour. Here's the thing, over time your party will figure out your alignment (assuming your playing it) and if there is a good/evil conflict it will almost always end up 2-3 characters in the party will have conflict with eachother.
While that can be fun in a PnP sit down, where you tend to be friends with everyone, I'm not sure how it'll work online. The whole point is for everyone to have fun, how fun is it for the rest of the party that isn't involved (neutral, or just dosn't care otherwise)? Why would this group stay together?? Simply put, in RP terms, they wouldn't. If the only reason the party is staying together is because "we are a party" then something is wrong...
Mala, I'd also consider allowing 8 in the party. Chances are you will get 7-6 because of random RL issues keeping someone out that session. Even if all 8 show, I'm pretty sure we can keep it sane for you.

*cheers for phoenix* I'm gonna agree with phoenix. The RP would not be very enjoyable if our party was at each others throats all the time. And I must say the likelihood of us all being at one session doesn't seem high right now, but it really is up to Mala.

How does 8pm IoF time on Wednesday sound? We'll play until people are over it. First session will be organizational in nature. I will consider 8 allowable given the responses. Alignment, etc. will be discussed in the organizational session. If another day is better, or a second group is needed, just let me know. And Toon, I will make some leeway for anyone that cannot attend complete sessions ona regular basis so that nobody gets too far out of the loop. I hear that Half-orc barbarians are prone to drinking too heavily and sleeping past the dawn gathering time of their companions

Sounds wonderful! Couple topics that might be good for that organizational session (for players to have thought about a little bit anyway):
1. Character concepts (classes, races, alignments - party balance)
2. How to handle the off-time. Mitz talked about crafting being ok, but its not possible to craft without gaining XP. Plus that also means inventory issues. Should the characters be allowed to be used in the off-time at all?

Good point on the crafting, back when we did these events before on my old server, ATS was not what it is today. I would say in reality the PC made for the events, should only be used for them.

8PM IOF is late for me to start, at least on a weekday. I get up for work at 5:00AM IOF.
Friday or Sat. night would work best for me at that time. I'd bet these are better day for most between school/work.
edit: oh, crafting. Hmm, I craft with one character, I ain't starting over, again.... If I'm going to build a character for this type of even, I don't think I would expect the party to generate their own equipment. That's my take, because I'll only be playing this PC for the event (and to level in between missions, but that will be solo stuff).
Also, Mala may want to outfit us as necessary, so crafting may be irrelevant. If she doesn't care where/how I'd suggest we don't either. That will let some craft, and others not...

Hehe, I have no pity for you Phoenix, I get up for work at 4:30 IoF time - but Im a liate owl type that cant sleep too well until dawn Wanna move it to a weekend day Mitz? The only downside to that is we might have a slightly higher attrition rate due to RL on weekends, but its ok with me.

I said tell me when if you don't like my choice of times, not debate your sleeping habits. Wednesday stands for organizational. If we need to add a second group or change days and times, we will decide it then. I am also taking into consideration the opinions regarding between sessions and ruling that the characters may craft or whatever between sessions for no more than one level gain. T here may come times when they will need the information and ties that being around in off times will get them. The goal is not to make a module setting outside of the rest of the Fredian framework but to make one within it and fitting into the whole.
