I dunno' why, but being a typical girl who hates sitting of WET FREEZING grass... You'd think the mayor would get a carpenter to make some benches around that warm toasty fire, eh?
Hehe, I think it would help point out that the fire in West Styne is a place to sit down and chat. I first didn't even notice the fire without benches...

we're supposed to head to castille where they have a wicked cool fountain and benches... but... everyone has a softspot for west styne...

I was told that Wren had decided to be generous, and place some around the fire, not sure why, personally if are silly enough to sit around outside, when a perfectly warm Inn is nearby... well... LOL  Makz. |

I am very much against benches around the West Styne fire pit. One of the nice things about no benches is that the circle that ends up around it varies in size quite a bit, from an on on one intimate chat close to the pit, to a wide circle of 8 or more. Adding benches will make a delimiter there which will by its nature change that dynamic.

I can say why we don't go to the inn... Those accursed drunkards never shadup in there! And not to mention we love petting Felix the cat...
You know silentus, the concept of a 1 on 1 is not destroyed with benches. If anything, they become closer because a pair may sit together on a single bench and actually be closer. In addition, the head tilting and moving also helps to show a little more realism instead of the sitting emote, which does the blank stare of "I'm not listening!". (I'm a bench sleeper... Gimme a break, I came from Thain!)
