In Ferdian Crypts 2nd level, in the main chamber where all those Curst Ranger are, there is a gate that cannot be opened by the creatures, that can cause a festival of shot the duck. Any PC with range weapon can build his fame on those gates. I suggest that the creatures can also open it to attack PC's. Fare thee well Aliases

Just an FYI the spawns may change a lot depending on your level. I happen to know about that gate, though, I never though of it as an exploit. I guess it could be depending on your POV.
You may be able to gain a couple of levels there but not many, and only lower levels. Eventually the XPs will not be worth it, and the spawn changes to Doom Knights or something else with spells. So if you stay there too long you will have to fight them, even with a ranged weapon.
There is also a mob of the same thing right in front of the gate, so it's not like your fighting something you couldn't already kill. If you can kill that mob, you could kill the ones behind the gate, it's just easier w/ the gate.
But like I said, this all depends on your POV and, like everything else, is up to the DMs.

Also this gate problem is not fixable as far as i know (short of getting rid of the gate altogether)... the same thing happens in every OC (in the bloodsailors lair for example)... basically everywhere thta they type gate exsists you have this same issue...

You go down there with a level 6 and someone with a level 20+ comes down while your trying to shoot those cursts behind that gate and you'll find out it's not as easy as you think. I was watching a fighter do just that, invisible with my rogue, a high level comes down and enters, and the spawns she made were demi-liches. Fighter falls, high level player backs out fast, I'm sneaking my lvl 9 buns outta there, thankee ;D Not what I'd call an exploit, more like a sweet, yet nasty trap for anyone who tried to camp in there.
