WOW! I have played at every english speaking server there is- There are those that are what they say they are, there are those that try to be something they are not, there are those that are trying to be the same as other servers-
Good gawds- This is the server they all wish they could be! Excellent job guys.
In light of my first statements, I was trying to create a server that would be like this- Kick butt! I dont have to figure out a death script anymore! (those that read bioware know me as ImaWhiner in the scripting threads).
Axle Ironforge and myself wish to thank you for being here. Im glad we found you.

Welcome to the Isle, make sure to check out the important info - FAQ section of the forums. All the rules from the journal are there plus other goodies like subrace info and local gods.

No sense in discussing something that's simply isn't going to happen. Besides, preists are VERY usefull in Fredian, what we DO have is a lack of dwarves. Guessing from the names we just 2 more.

We're just short and hard to notice Hard to notice? You have overcompensated your lack of lenght with width (and ugliness according to Bernith'ri) Welcome to the Island

Hard to notice? You have overcompensated your lack of lenght with width (and ugliness according to Bernith'ri) Welcome to the Island LOL And rethinking the fugue comment- I had sit and think about it... This is actually more realistic. Most of the fugue style servers have dead people contacting everyone to find a cleric to ressurect their body. Im kinda liking this. ;D

I am new to this world and I too have to say thank you to the admin staff. I have enjoyed the world so much that I went out and spent $60.00 to get my wife a copy of the game so she could play too. Now you can find us as Gunak and Vanorah.
Here are some bright points to the game: 1) No hard core death system. THANK YOU! Those systems are no fun. 2) No need of campfire equipment to rest. 3) Friendly DM staff. 4) Players that actually role play their characters. 5) Magical chests throughout the world that allow a low level character a chance to upgrade their equipment without higher level character assistance. 5) The stone portals. 6) Quest system with good rewards. 7) A trade system that can be seen throughout the world. 8) No food and drink restrictions.
I have only seen a fraction of the world with my level 7 character and the only minor issue I have seen is that some areas seem sparsely populated with NPC's. I could only suggest that some of the city zones have a few more NPC's to make the city look populated. Other than that I have no complaints.
Thanks again!

Welcome dax, Fredian's NPC population mostly hangs out in Inn's the reason being it is either cold or hot in most areas Some areas are not populated hardly also for good reason, ie : Styne Harbor, if you have not done it's quest... you won't know, but it's Inn is populated. In addition the NPC's that do exist, all have either a reason or a quest involved with them. Players are the main focus of Fredian, and the story that sits behind it, and grows from them. NPC's also, cause lag by being on permanent watch so to speak, but also would cause it if spawned in great numbers all the time, it's a delicate balancing act with such a large busy world. You will find I am always refining and adding/changing things, so always be prepared for surprises sometimes Enjoy, Makz.
