Suggestion - Relax on the 5 level limit in groups

I would like to respectfully recommend a review (or at least the zealous enforcement) of the 5 level group limit.

I mean when Mala goes around stripping levels for folks as punishment because they are in a group with younger adventurers is this really fun? After all the game should be fun and enjoyable and having your levels taken away from the Level 5 DM nazi just is ruining this server for me. And this was not some Uber XP group but just nice folks RPing and enjoying the persistent world. Being forced to always solo gets boring and old.

I mean this is not a Massive MORPG. With a cap of 55 or so players it seems to make sense from a roleplay perspective to be able to group with a wider range of folks. Perhaps 10 levels or so?

Just a suggestion.

4. POWERLEVELING: Characters of radically different levels (5+) may not travel together for the sole point of gaining XP. They are however quite welcome to do so for real RP reasons. Do not attempt to put on a facade about this - RP centering around mass fighting of monsters is not acceptable without DM approval

Les, you were warned yesterday and allowed to go on your way. There is a statement elsewhere that sets the limit at 10 levels. You were 14 and 12 levels higher than your lower party members. Your party was also respawning monsters in a high traffic 'training' area. That is by definition powerleveling.

I do not strip levels without warning. I do not interfere with high-low level parties that are RP'ing. However, you broke a rule, were warned about it, and got caught breaking it again.

Powerleveling is not fair to the lower level PC that does not learn anything about the persistent world they are part of by watching others kill the same monsters repeatedly nor is it fair to those that fight tooth and nail within the rules to gain their levels only to find themselves facing some as effortless one day and impossible the next.

Actually, that should have been 10+ levels for players who are JUST level chasing not 5+, that was what I originally said, then changed it when I realised that was a little harsh , I have updated the FAQ now also.
