I believe that once a month we should have a theme day. Characters would be encouraged to conform to the theme for that day. Perhaps even some modest DM rewards may be issued for best costume and stuff like that (if people can keep from whining too much if they don't take the prize every time).
An example would be Star Wars day, where everyone would say change their blade to a light sabre.
Another would be invert behaviour day, where your character would for one day behave exactly the opposite as normal. Thieves would give things away, paladins would kill randomly, and the black guard would be trying to be nice! (No real permanent class or alignment effects that day for the behaviour of course!)
Other possibilities may be poetry day where you create a poem for your character to create and would recite it for enjoyment at a gathering time around the west-styne camp fire.
Thes are just some base example ideas. I thought they could be quite fun. I'd like your thoughts on it!
