I can't get on. I cant find an entry on gamespy I cant get a connect with direct connect. It times out. I cant ping the IP address, times out
Does this have something to do with Microsofts latest XP firewall change, or is this an id10t error?
Thanks Kliest

Umm, I can get in just fine, and it does show up on gamespy (named 1] Makzimia's Bane) either the problem is no more, or you have a problem at your end Kliest

I know this is maybe a silly question, but you have updated to 1.64 for nwn? and 1.50beta for cep as well right? If so, then check the windows XP firewall and see if you accidentily dissallowed nwn to get out, it would have asked the first time you tried to connect.

There are no silly questions when a man can not access his NWN world.
Yes I updated and had played a few times since. No problems.
I checked the firewall and it should be fine, besides, I can access the 20 worlds I tried in gamespy.
I even created a new gamespy account and I still could not find Iof on there.
This sucks.
I had the day off too, and its raining so what better to do then check out the druid animal domination to see if it changed.

Perhaps your ISP is blocking the iof ip? (wild guess)

70.179.11.23:5123
with nothing in password block.
Even if my ISP blocked the IP address, I imagine I would still see the entry on Gamespy wouldn't I?

I have NO idea, Silentus can see it, others can, listed under PW Story, I can't check because, of course, it's on my LAN

Can you ping the server from a command prompt?
Start-run-cmd[enter] ping 70.179.11.23:5123[enter]

Tried the ping earlier. It doesnt work. I think if I tried with the port it did not even try to ping. But without port it never suceeded.
I am trying my ISP to see if they have this ip blocked.
Wish me luck.

Just got off phone with my ISP
They can not ping 70.179.11.23 either
Could there be something on the COX end that blocks a range of IP's?
