Why is it that dominated animals can not be taking to new areas?
This is a big feature of Druids and can be a major component to their fighting strength.
Is there a way to allow them to bring them along.
Thanks Naturius Femalus

I see no one has commented on this, which leads me to believe no one is running druids in Fredian.
Maybe there is a reason for that. Fredian has lots of outdoor areas and should be a natural for a druid character.
A druid is restricted to light armor and a mediocre set of weapons, and needs its animal companions and dominated animals to make up the difference in melee. By only allowing the animal to stay on one area, you do not allow the druid to take the animal in to a dungeon or cave. This means for each new area a druid enters, it has to find a new animal. This is not an easy task, and frequently not worth it at all. For most caves, etc I would end up with a black bat as my animal.
This seems, to me at least, like it should be a small change to allow dominated animals to stay with the druid that would have little effect, except to me. The one and only druid in the whole world.

LOL! Rest assured, you are not the only druid in the whole world. I don't know what is preventing that from happening, I dont play a druid, so cant say that Im aware of the issue but it is either: a. Not an easy thing to make happen (Bioware problem) OR b. A bug of some sort
Hopefully Makz or Addicted will have a bit to offer here. Sounds like a legitimate greivence/request to me.

A dominated creature does not change areas... that is a bioware thing. Familiars however do, as they should.

Although one time I was able to bring in an animal to another zone, but I did said it was one time. Might of been a bug...
Btw: I used to play a druid, now he's dead ;D

I went out and tested this on some 'other' servers.
For the most part I could bring the animal along. Frequently after the new area loaded the animal was no longer dominated, but then again, I was first level in the other servers.
In the single user mods I had loaded on my machine, using a 18th lvl druid, I could bring animals along with me.
I think this is a setting somewhere, but as previously stated, it may be hard to find.

There is NO setting for it. If they don't currently come with you, there is a reason why, MOST likely reason, encounters are cleaned up on player exit of areas, since you are likely dominating a creature that was spawned, when you leave the previous area, guess what? and, I am NOT changing that... sorry, it is MOST important that each area is cleaned when players are not there. Well that makes sense. If an area is cleaned when you exit, anything from the area should go away.
Do you suppose the animal would come with me if someone was still in that area??
Just speculating.
