Ok, so I know Makz is out for the count because of his stress condition... so these things are in no way priority (or even doable) this is just me brain-storming. 1) Wand of Performance - an effects wand for simple things (sparkles, etc) that Bards can use. 2) Greater Wand of Performance - an effects wand with more "swoosh effects" that only a high level Bard can use (that way Bards have an item to work towards). 3) Performance areas - stages in the Inns, public "soap boxes" in town, a theatre with seating, etc... (Since I don't want a player house, how about a theatre named after Fredians famous Bard? *cackles*) ;D 4) Singing Blade - Sonic sword (usable by Bard) 5) Sonic Arrows - There seem to be sonic bolts but no arrows? 6) Harps are neat... but not very masculin (not to gender stereotype) I feel Bards use of wands and new CEP objects seem more fitting IMHO. Bard items in general are very scarce (compared to Monk only equipment). ^--- more like a comment than a suggestion Anywho, just some thoughts... what do you think? Lumix

Being a bard user myself i would say the idea of pyrotechniks are cool but that would cause some scripting and i wouldnt ask anyone to do something im scared of... not after last time..... i mean erm... yeh some of the items are cool lack of items for bards? na.
and harp isnt masculine.... right *shifts eyes*
the idea for a performing area poor old bran is it? the singing guy has the stage already.

Sweet I have an ... "Opre?" *looks word up* I like the seating, but the 'stage' doesnt seem to be standable. *chuckles at statue playing harp* ... is that for my wise crack at manly harps? Thanks Makz, I am just stoked I have my name on something Now I need to throw some storys together to tell... look for 'advertisments' in the future -Lumix

I don't think a wand that does visual effects would be particularly hard. Isn't there a standard list in the toolset that lets you do visual effects? Or is that the DM interface? Or another game? I'm confusing myself now. Wait, maybe it's trap scripts... o.0 Whatever. Anyway, my only char is a bard, so I support bard stuff. And as a fan of early Final Fantasy games, I think we should reallly have badass combat harps. I don't mean something that does sleep five times a day. I mean something you would choose over a regular weapon in a fight. We can already carry around musical instruments... why not give them mega-cool combat properties and make them bard-only? Of course, lag usually keeps me from playing (much as I'd like to...), so I suppose my opinion doesn't weigh in very much.

Definately one of my more favored characters to play are my bards.. and yes I do have many. The special effects still would be great.. and when am I going to get to see some actual performing on this stage you have there Lumix?.. (or maybe I'm just missing it) . And the only harp I have come across is the Haunted Harp or something like that.. well its not very useful for high level bards. Maybe theres more out there, but I'd like to see more. ;D

My bard performs from time to time, thats about all that Ryamite does actually. Its difficult though because there is obviously some pre-work that has to occur (unless youre really talented on the fly) and then some characters (in character mind you) are prone to not like it or to be deliberately difficult (hecklers). For a while I was getting alot of positive feedback with him, but the last few times he ran into alot of resistance... due to that, I decided to shelf him for a bit to play other characters that are more personally rewarding to play.

4) There are probably sonic blades out there, though at the moment I don't recall which metal.
5) There are sonic arrows. They are called arrows of thunder. Have fun, fletching is a pain in the rump.
And Verbena would like to lay a tribute at Lumix's feet as it is ever so nice to have a better area for her plays than the fountain in castille, though it is harder to do the -lovers fall from rocky heights into sea below- at the Whillem staging area.
