Greetings, Wanted to point out the persistency of bookshelves all over the Island of Fredian. The problem with them is, that each time an area cleanup script is run and one reenters the area and opens the bookshelf, another book OR scroll is added to it, so after a while, loads of books may accumulate in those shelves all across the island. It may also be, although I am not sure about it, that bookshelves will add books when not opened but on enter into the area after a cleanup. I am guessing that since chests with loads of items (non private chests) cause massive lag over time, bookshelves would be no exception. Also, removing persistency off bookshelves would not be a large disadvantage, as there would be another book in there instead of having loads of books in one on reopen. This would also prevent "Muling" via bookshelves. Edit: Maybe do the same for chests in frequently used areas such as the G***l Cave (didnt spell out just in case ) Those chests there have a near 25% of breaking on open too...

Cleaning up literally anything remaining in a chest or bookshelf is not something I am aware of an easy solution for... one for addicted to look at. Basically, when a player leaves the area, the cleanup scripts check for junk, clean up encounters, and restock generically, it is not practical to input each and every name of a placed item into a chest, nor would it be viable, I think to destroy all such objects in an area on exit ( chests, bookshelves) and respawn them, a LOT of work to do something like that... and frankly, that treasure in chests/bookshelves causes minimal issue truly... you would need to see the CPU on my beast of a server to fully understand how she ticks over. We only ever get issues with 10's of items lying around all over the ground, sitting in chests and bookshelves... never been an issue, never really get to those numbers in a normally busy day.
