W.Styne should be NOPVP zone

ok im totally sure the DMs and knights are sick of dealing with petty crimes in W.styne... evreything from theft to Npc murder happens and wastes valuable processor cycles on repopping those creatures...

Ive recently been repremanded for fighting in styne even though its all in good fun, and IC rp... the dms are told to enforce this no mater what the circumstance, wich is totally understandable... but what a waste of time.

I know it originally was a NoPVP zone... but really alot of hassle would be done away with...

im sure all the rogues will cry to high heavens but hey...

West Styne does not need to be no PVP. Players need to respect each other.
The problem with no PVP in West Styne is that instead of just trouncing each other, you get people taunting and refusing to leave the no PVP zone to settle matters.
If people just stop to use common sense it works just fine.
DO NOT plan your ambushes for WS.
DO NOT spar or duel in WS. There is an arena and a colloseum for that.
DO remember that WS is the entry point for new players.
DO feel free to RP up to and including PVP, but be mindful of those around you.
I won't stop a PVP that is well RP'd in WS, but if you are blatantly killing NPC's in the open or using AoE spells, you will be moved along quickly and by force if needed.

Incidentally, WS has flopped between PVP and NoPVP a bunch of times in Fredians history. Despite the trouble it causes us, the DMs have ultimately swayed Makz opinion on this matter to retain PvP there to allow for the fun of all.

Just as a reaffirmation of Truths common sence rules for WS PVP above, the primary reason for the semi-PVP there is:
1. We desire No PVP to avoid scaring off newbies at the start point.
2. We desire PVP to prevent the no-reprecussion taunting that happens in a full NoPVP zone and to allow thieves to do thier thing.

Please play responcibly, and if you see others PvPing in WS in less than an RPed situation (and no DMs are aware), there is nothing wrong with sending another player a freindly reminder to take it somewhere else. If they respond poorly, odds are they will not be around long anyway.
