We need to simplify the jusrisdiction rules
[/color] Results of previous poll: 1. Who can report a crime (by 66% concensus or greater)?
100% ...b. Any direct visual witnesses 2. Crimes committed in what areas can be reported (by 66% concensus or greater - ones in read were runners up added only to help you consider your answer)?
85% ...c. All Castille City Areas
92% ...d. All Styne Populated Areas 54%...m. Whillem 3. Suspects can be apprehended seen by knight in what areas (by 66% concensus or greater - ones in read were runners up added only to help you consider your answer)? 54%...a. Everywhere
77% ...b. Inside All residences / businesses
85% ...c. All Castille City Areas
100% ...d. All Styne Populated Areas
77% ...m. Whillem
The results from this poll will likely cause confusion and frustraition in players and knights alike. I would like for us to come upon a simpler agreement, based on the results of the original poll. Below are the results of the poll and new consolidation questions. I pose to you the following questions: 1. Should apprehention of suspects be allowed: ...a. everywhere ...b. only in reportable areas (and buildings in those areas)
2. Should Whillem be added as a reportable area (yes or no)? (as it was over 50%, I thought I'd re-offer it but 66% still needed for ratification)
--- My personal take --- 1 a 2 yes (I actually changed my vote on this one)

1. A (absolutly) 2. yes (I feel if we are going to allow apprehentions everywhere then shouldn't Whillem be added to that.)

After discussion I'm changing on this one too, again to make things simple. If we want to make a knight not chase someone out in the 'wild' we should just make it too wild for them to do it alone. That way if they want to apprehend someone they had better make sure they bring enough help.
1. B ***changed*** 2. Yes. OK got some history, seems like the guards/knights would protect the land of a rich friend of the king.

darn, I'm so on the fence about Whillem, considering switching (again)... Can anyone give us some history to the town? It would really help me deciding wether this should be a reportable area. Does it even make RP sense one way or the other?

I agree with Phoenix.....I know little about Whillem really, and it would be nice to hear its background.

1 A 2 Yes
Whillim is quite a nice little town, trades with Styne and if you ever did any of the quests involving it you would know there are many NPCs in Whillim with ties in Styne, NOT TO MENTION it is the location of official single character and team arenas.

Yeah, but Ranestadt has 'ties' to Styne too (jail/trade), but is off limits to voting because of other reasons. Heck they build a whole 'city' just for trading with topsiders. Just because there are relationships doesn't mean there is ownership.

A (But I do think "everywhere" is a bit much I personally think private homes should be a safe haven from the law) Yes. (It has as much ties to Styne as Sniferblin but the gnome City is quite hostile to intruders unlike Whillem which is relatively peaceful and inviting)

Brief off topic intervention here I suppose, Whillem is basically a rich land owners town, Briar's to be exact, he does have allegiance to the crown ( Wend) but also has self interest as a rich owner. Hence guards and trade agreements and caravans mentioned Makz.
