Need to add attempted murder, I think for now it's ok to treat it like murder, but we should discuss it. It shouldn't carry the same punishment (long term), but is something we overlooked as a crime.

I propose a way for "convictions" to be expunged from the record, you cannot get your time back, but, if approved and possible, you can get the time removed from your record thereby reducing the minutes you have recorded towards an execution.
This should make for small trials if the knight does not feel the person deserves to have his conviction expunged. Witnesses to the event can give testimony to what they saw. Paladins and persons wanting to appear to be looking out for the best interest of Fredian Citizens should find this of interest, and of course the truly innocent.
Not shown in my example below, but could be played out in a court, could be multiple characters convicted by the same knight seeking records to be expunged and if enough records are expunged, the actual knight's activity be reported to King Wend for review.
My case for an example;
Eriden Shadow Weaver attempts to stop invasion of vampires and their associates in West Styne based on information given out by King Wend.
King Wend told citizens of Styne that James Silter was killed by a vampire and a funeral would be held when the body was found.
2 RL days later James Silter is seen in West Styne with a knight saying that he is under the protection of knights. Taking a better safe than sorry attitude Eriden attacks both the knight and James Silter under the assumption they are working for the vampire/hawkmen/warped/drow alliance. Dies in the attempt and is jailed afterwards for not disarming, but the request to disarm was noticed too late because of all the surrounding coversations flooding the chat window.
(It is so quiet in a jail cell I was able to scroll back the chat window to see the warning came from a second knight on duty while I was chatting with the first knight. There was even a count down with the warning I was trying to ignore so I could concentrate on the conversation with the first knight.)
modified because I forgot part of a sentence, you should notice I forget whole words by now

We could always add something to the knight's lasso that will allow them to send a person who has already been caught to the planar crossing for execution
