Just feeling nostalgic and thought I would look at the last remnant left of our once great world. If you happen to visit, please respond (cant guarnetee it will be noticed for a couple years, but what the heck I miss the Isle. Since leaving West Styne, I persist, living here in Madison WI. Same job, same wife, same kids. Spent a little time on other NWN PWs and WoW after the decline but nothing came close to giving me the sence of community that I once felt here. More recently I gave up all online gameing and have picked up the Bass - figured messging around with a guitar in my hands is probably a slightly more productive past-time. Anyway, heres to you, my past Fredian friends. -Dave-

Wow a voice from the past still ringing in my ears. Not much has changed. Still working construction, and friends with Serpitus. My daughter is now a teenager, where does the time go??? I miss the ole Island, have not been interested in online gaming since. Unless Fantasy Football counts. Was Hopefull that a new world would emerge with NW2, but I guess it was not to be.

I have forgot about this stage of gaming. I was heavily gaming on IOF for my last two years of high school. I don't remember many players, but I was the halfling rouge named Nert. Younger brother of Erith. I'm in my 4th year of college now as a chem major. I've been out of the gaming world because of college. In fact NWN was the last game I bought. Those were good times. I spent lots of hours to become both a master tailor and blacksmith. I was probably the biggest user of the "tent hack" . I also did get into peoples' chests and pawn their items oops... Hey, I was a rouge after all.

Wow time flies! I moved from California to Sweden IoF was the last online game i played ... since then I try to help out the One Laptop Per Child project whenever I get the chance (im writing this from an XO-1)... I also have been heavily involved with the Manpollo Project and finished up a DVD for them, as well as helped research for a book that will be published nation wide next summer Currently I need to get enrolled in SFI (Swedish For Immigrants) then attend college, where I look forward to studying Product Design and Industrial design in the future. The IoF store is still up for anyone who is wanting a bit of the old days. Ill have to see if the markup is zero or not, to make it cheaper for all Other than that, I hope to keep in touch with you all... especially the few I got to meet at the IoF gathering years ago. Addicted2RPG will always be my uncle, and I guess he's still in contact with Maxz. I'll have to ask him if he's seen Daves email or not. wiki.laptop.orgwww.manpollo.org

Well hi gang! I have been in major nostalgic mode lately, and I had actually come back here and cleaned up this old forum. After I had realised all the work Dave and I did was gone with me taking down castille.us totally. We are still here in Poway, Leigh is still working hard, Shane is in college and I am currently twiddling my thumbs waiting for news from Warner Bros about some of my songs. I have been heavily playing EQ2 and WoW, mostly WoW now, since IoF went away. I wish Bioware would have taken their game to the level of graphics of the Witcher and kept the ease and speed of the previous client / server setup. If any of you have any doubt as to my commitment to the old game, it has never gone. I along with many others were beyond disappointed in Obsidian's failed NWN2. Not sure how many will ever read this, but glad to see some old names here already good luck all in whatever pursuits you make in life. I will try to show some photos of what I do to get out of the house lately, riding my BMW R1200 RTP. www.flickr.com/photos/makzimia/sets/72157607585388473/Tony

Oh how I miss IOF and other NWN worlds, NWN2 was a major let down after all the work that went into NWN and the CEP team hack.
I played DDO Online for almost a year, despite major health issue cropping up.
For almost two years was letting former neighborhood kids into my home to use older PCs I had and purchased just for them to use. Was up to 3 pcs for the kids to use, had up to up to 22 kids from 4 to 22 in my livingroom playing games, coloring and taking turns using the pcs. It wore me out but I cherish the memories and wish I had the funding to of kept it going and even upgraded it to a seperate building.
Thanks for the memories,
Nias Trams

Yahoo, a few of us are still around! So Makz, getting WB to bite on a few of your tunes? Good deal my friend. I really do miss the days playing with all you guys. Who would have thought that a game could have such an effect on me. I expected to miss the friends I made there - not having daily interactions with the real people and the fictitious characters - but what I REALLY find amusing is how much I miss my primary character, Vugor. I actually have had a coulple days where I really missed him almost as if he really existed. I tried to bring him to another world or two, but it just wasnt the same - he lived in Fredian and for all practical purposes died there. I wonder if I am alone in feeling that sort of loss (and if so, perhaps I should worry more about my own wellbeing) - but I suspect others have an occasional similar feeling. Some pretty big changes for Lumix there (still cant believe you named yourself after a camera). And good on ya AW - sounds like a nice little outreach program you had there! Anyway, if any of you are ever in Madison, WI - dont hesitate to look me up. *Silentus puts down his pen and displays his note to those around him - looking for thier reactions* (Guess I miss Silentus a little bit too )

Along time ago I found an RP server called Fredian. There i learnt to roleplay, I grew and matured, I made mistakes and made great stories and most of all, great friends, i missed it all and became nostalgic myself just now. Out of pure randomness i googled Island of fredian, and found that this forum was active if only a few days ago. I played the witcher, the graphics, camera angle and gameplay was great, never completed it. I went and bought a PS3, a while ago and have been playing around on that, after leaving college i didnt have too many oppurtunities career wise, i spent the last year as a roof tiler which has been an blast, but the global credit crunch meant that the good times in the building trade ended, ive been phasing in and out of interest for nwn2 every couple of months but nothing really sticks me to it... i think the toolset its pretty amazing though i dont watch much television any more, but when i do programs like Heroes and Lost have peaked my attention.

You know Makz I think we all miss fredian and would like to see it back up and running. While I am sure a hardcore of users is still missing Fredian somewhat, as do I for various reasons, it's old news now. I am glad that for a moment in my life I provided something others have memories of for me as well. Happy Yule, and may the coming year bring you all happiness and prosperity. Tony

I have been playing on a server called terrapin. it is ok but sure in the hell is not fredian. very few peeps play there. so since I do not have fredian anymore. I play FPS like COD4, BF2, TF2 games and rarely hit the NWN community anymore. anyone can find me at www.bigonline.org just look for DINOS_DEAD. ]BIG[ "Brotherhood of International Gamers" also has a ventrilo if you like to chat some time ip for vent is 208.100.1.163 port 3884. I would like to see some of you show up there, it would be nice to chat again.

Hi all. I definitely miss the gang on Fredian. Too bad Aralantia never came about. I also miss messing with Aust, Adam the Warlock and all the knights of Fredian. So many great players on there.
