Hello: for any good ideas that would fit into your plan I would have to know the main story or idea you have for the server. I wouldnt want to put up ideas that would be way off base and a waste of your time and mine. so far things are looking good and just started in your server. I was brought in by Druga and Pesti. We have played on many other worlds to gether over the years. I have been DMing and playing table D&D for over 20 years and would love to help out where I can , if I can. When Iam more in tune with whats there I will see what I can put forth as ideas. Till than

Hi, Mostly the world is like a real one in some ways... each place has rumours of things in other places... life revolves around local problems and events local to the town or city. My biggest effort has been to instill life in the places I can with a practical view to how intensive it should be for the players. I am currently, now that the subrace routines have been completed by my good wife, beginning the task once more of finishing off the islands areas.... quite a few to still put in despite that fact there is a lot to do... most of is in is actually internal work.. mines/sewers... desert underground things like that. Concerntration on coastline is pretty much on now. Also, I have a lot of quests I have been reshaping to fit the world from my time at making them for Lanthar's Lair. I am of course also adding new ones that fit in to the new world I have made. The biggest help anyone can be to me at this time is just bring more people, if you like what you see I promise I will always be here... this server is a dedicated system, and will always get my personal attention. Well a fast response is very refreshing thank you. Nice to know you and your wife are working on the project which makes it more enjoyable for yourself. The only thing right now with trying to bring more people on is that it is still new and many things are still in the works. I would be afraid of some of the people with less concentration power to give it a bad rap before it got started. I know Druga, Pesti and myself would be able to bring many others to stop in and see what the server is all about.
How many maps do you have so far or areas that are completed? (completed is relative nothing is ever just done , for more can always be added. ;D )
How many quests on the server?
I am asking these two mainly because that is what is asked many times by others.
I want to help out as much as I can, really ;D

I always respond fast because I like the same sort of response myself Anyway thanks for these comments. I currently have in excess of 170 areas in play all complete to about 95% I would say... there are 12 in game pesistent quests, some epic and co-joined. I have about 2 dozen other quests in the works also. All NPC's of a non essential nature... and even some that are.... are killable and or turn nasty if talked to the wrong way. Some NPC's... a good number have pickpocketable items. About the only thing that is not in that will require a test stage now... is the persistent chest/amoire etc system. I am giving Salandra the week off after her brilliant work on the subrace system. Makz. Well a fast response is very refreshing thank you. Your collecting people with a lot of past exp. in pnp. I too have over 20 yrs. I think that means there's something wonderful about this site that clicks even if you've never played.
Getting players involved in the world around them is the hard part since each has his/her own aggenda. Your numerous quests do a great deal toward that end and personal involment with the DM's is wonderful. (Brought me here).
Edit Addition: Found my profession, I'm going to sell enchanted gems and ingots of precious metals and make Dwarves Head Ale on the side...pluss...(Big Pluss).. We of the desert live between two large cities..and thus are pulled back an forth to the wims of either...I say we unite and sick Ali Baba and his fourty thieves on them if they give us trouble.....
.
In pnp the world evolves on it's own and plans never seem to go as planned. I expect much the same here since you can't control players actions, but that's were the fun comes in because many ideas and thoughts of were to head things comes from the players actions or non-action.
It's already starting to take a life of it's own, now, were do I fit in ? I'll find a spot, I don't take up too much room. (( Jezz let me's carve out's a lill' ome o me own fer ta do me smelt'n and work'n da ore's inta de best armor's ye kin get. Fer troubles lie ahead, me's can jezz tell, fer it's in de stone o de land Ladds and Lass's dat tells me so)).
Sorry, get carried away from time to time. .
