I guess I'm looking at the worse case (where you DO miss your roll). I had a RP going the other day and when I killed the person they did their roll. I didn't even look at the result as I continued to tell the exactlly what happened.
I think they were shocked I didn't hope they missed their roll for my own safety... I'm wondering how that will play out in the future, it'll be interesting.

Re-read 'em and the rules say nothing about looting RP kills of everything they own...and I stand by it as just another aspect of RP.....not nice but then some characters are not nice.

Lol, I hate being a victim, but I agree... If it's RP, do all that it takes to make it even more deeper. ROB THAT FOO! I live by the words... "It isn't fair get over it, unless it's a bug." ^ ^ Ah well, just stay IC... And we'll be happy, because I if I see and I'm in RP mood, I'll assume you're cursing in some foreign language! GAHA!

i have played on a server that if you died , you would lose everything and you ahve a like a 2 min wait to get back in , if you did die and were laying there dead you could watch people loot you .... i did not care for this , needless to say the jobs you got on this server were less then kind , so what little you had wanted very much , as being new to the server i played for 4 days trying to just keep ground , being killed over and over by 4 lvl and up higher people for my stuff , one of the reasons i liked this server so much was cause the people are good people , when i die i dont lose all my hard work. i understand what you say and it would add to the rp perfect ...i find it best to be in the hands of an dm , if when met death and all my stuff droped for any one to pick ...i would find it hard to want to log on any more - AnoM ;D

Sorry Mitza, but I have to cut you off right here. Here is a quote from the rules in the Important information FAQs area: (In my best virtual Makz voice) 12c. Pickpocketing rules apply here, only 2 pickpocket attempts per game day on any single characeter - dead or alive. You are NOT entitled to all thier equipment without the other players permission. That said, many players (myself included) WILL give you permission to do so, as I feel it is realistic and ok - but you are not entitled without express permission. Want to make this clear - it is NOT ok to totally strip another player without thier permission on IoF. Two items is legal.

I just wanted to add a comment on pickpocketing a live PC. If you ever notice any pickpocketing scene like on hidden camera or on TV in a movie or something, the pickpocket usually tries to distract the "mark" somehow, quickly lift the goods, then make a discreet exit. They are not literally standing there stripping someone of everything on their person, no need to elaborate on why that is literally impossible...So logistically, the limit on pickpocketing imposed here makes perfect sense....

Doh! 100% correct there Spathic - I wasnt watching the dates on the posts. I thought it was rather unusual for Mitza not to realize that as she is generally pretty on top of stuff around here *Bows in apology to Mitza*

My main character (right now) is evil. Prince Sirrus Montblanc. I don't try though to do what most do and just beat people up for fun. I like to RP as the 'Prince of Thieves' (or princess... darn you mala!). I do have my friends to do the killing for me, but i like to make sure that my 'victims' have fun in the RP too. i don't just bully new people. being evil can be fun for both sides!

My favorite way to pick pocket is when someone is buying from a store, i walk up as if i am too, but really i'm taken my 2.

*sticks out her tonuge at Silentus*
Hope Vugor's spot is up to the Mistress of Illusions! Vugor has interesting stuff in his pockets (though it might be tricky for Tisi to hunt down and kill Verbena for stealing from Vugor).
In all honesty, since that rule came into effect, there hasn't really been any major thief problem to my knowledge.
**And I love ya Princess...I really do, you slimey little prevaricating worm!**
*waits while half the server looks up prevaricating at dictionary.com*
Kudos to the current crop of thieves, you guys are doing great!
