Rp Suggestions

from reading the posts in here i can see that alot of people very differently about RP well here is my honest opinion and some suggestions you can eaither take or ignore

I've been playing this game for about nine months and i was playing on a Hardcore RP serevr in other words what mak doesnt want to see here, where if you break charator or do anything OOC you are punished eaither by ban or by being killed by a DM, this part of RP i think is completley uncalled for and i think Fredian is a good server because the dms are nice and allow people to have a much more "lax" veiw on rp

However this isnt to say that RP shouldnt be done at all, where some may think it is stupid or pointless it may just be that you eaiteher dont understand it or dont know how to do it, i thought it was stupid when i first started to. For rp tips and questions you can send me PM's in game or ask me in PM's on here but pretty much you have to look at the game as more than just something to do and have fun by running around a killing things. If you introduce rp into it the game becomes so much more as you creature your own plots or You, others and even the world itself.

Im not saying RP'ing should be enforced on this server because i dont think it should i like it the way it is but if players RP more and pay into things they will find that they are having alot of fun im not sure exactly how to explain WHY its more fun, it just is, its like when you get involved in a game on your PS2 or Xbox same concept a plot makes a game more fun if your trying to figure out what happends next your going to want to keep playing.

So for anyone who doesnt know how to rp i suggest you at least give it a shot and maks right in that if your shy and afraid of doing something "wrong", just do it, if its wrong most likley people will explain what you did rather than just banning you or killing you and hwo knows maybe it will go over extremely well and eveyone will love you for it, you never know.

If anyone needs tips and help just give me a holler ill be gald to help in anyway i can i have played charactors that try to kill towns because they are a Shadow druid, Charactors that are strickly trickers and try to get people to fight each other for no reason, i've played paladins and miners, so pretty much any kind of charactor you can think of i know how to rp

and incase anyone is wondering...evil IS harder to rp AND play because a good charactor (majority of a server is good) will not want to help you...

Blake...very well said, I totally agree with you on your points made.

I too used to play on a hardcore rp server, where it was VERY difficult to get your character up in levels. (I got to level 9 in like 4 months...thats how hard i found it)

People in general on this server dont know how lucky they are to have DM's like Makz, Nate and Cartoonic around....they take a lot of s**t off of people for nearly no reason at all.

RPing is about having fun and making sure others are having fun from your efforts.....its not supposed to be a one sided thing.

Heh...and if you've been playing for nine months Blake, you aint a noob. (GOD I HATE THAT WORD!) Ive seen you rp....you do fine...keep it going.

peerdy thats great! what was it called? because the server im coming from i played for 8 months and i have a level 9 charactor and a level 6

the items here are insane as well lol the nicest sword on the server was mine a Scimitar Enhancment +2 with Keen

i fought the wole way to 9 and at this point the only way to get up in levels is to get rp xp. Also Mak, Cartoonic Nate and the rest are very good dms, they are kind and as far as i have seen patient. On the server i come from one thing i always hated is that DM's play themselves above regular players with the attitude like "im to good to deal with you right now go away" and i always hated that it wasnt until the owner of the server started to become friends with that the dms started to be nice to me (some of them) and thats just not righ

well glad someone else has the same experience as me see you in game

The DMs here are indeed top notch, that at least 1/2 the reason I'm still here. I have yet to read/hear one negative comment about the DMs and for good reason. Even when they are playing as characters, they are just another character in the mix of things. I didn't even know one character was a DM until several days after I met him. I still wouldn't know unless it was in their sig.

That doesn't even begin to touch what a good job you people keeping the server running in such good shape, or the effort put into events, and actually DMing things.
