First off I would like to say that if the logs are checked I have NEVER attacked or harrased newbies. But with all the newbies running I still stand on my point that if my character is attacked by anyone like Dino last night,I will kill you and there are NO rez's. They can lay there or respawn but if attacked I dont raise my enemy afterwards bad form to some or not. Everyone also remember with lots of new players we are also going to get quite a few crybabies. How about this to some of the senior members, quit training every newb that hits the isle how about they actually have to work hard and long for levels like most of us had to.

May, The thrust of my message surrounding problems, was never intended as a stab directly at you, in fact if I recall, we discussed what was going on, and as far as I am concerned you have done what you normally do, and players, those regular enough, know you already. Enough said We will get balance again as the newer players settle down. Makz.

Well, dunno who, but on my first day with Ner'dulla, I had another drow that followed me and attacked me on sight. His char listed as "very hard". So I was forced to kill him.
Like Maylstryx, I do not rez ennemies (unless very good reason to). After defeating him 2 times, he just left the server I think.
Talk about intro to the server... *lol* -----
And my friend and I are legit. We went from lvl1 togetter all the way to lvl 8 now, and that's without high levels helping us.
I was raised once in the orc road by very high levels, and I denied help of a high level in the crypt (was it the inquisitor ? dunno.)
As for being crybaby, I will "cry" everynow and then, if I feel I am being wronged, or abused as a player. It's ok for anti-drow fanatism to kill me on sight for the first time he sees me... but not 25 times a day. *shrugs*
Well... since I am one of the newest players (last friday), I felt the need to answer you as I felt this was aimed at all the newbies and I.
my 2 cents worth... Cya ! ^_^

Gotta get my two cents in here on this one, bear with me folks:-)
I think what this whole thing boils down to is personal responsibility. Did you attack someone, ic or ooc? Well, you sometimes die when you get into a fight. While it is very kind that people will raise you, sometimes you have to pay for it. Having been the aggressor and the loser in a few battles, I humbly took my xp hit and respawned rather than hoping for a raise.
On the other hand, have you chosen to play a despised race (ie, oh I don't know, DROW)? Well, some chars may not be too enlightened in their attitudes towards you. Deal. You made the choice to play the character, so play it. This world is not as egalitarian as ours may be (funny though that sounds), and folks may be positively xenophobic. If you didn't want to be regarded with suspicion ic, maybe you should have played a less reviled race.
Again, my two cents, spend or disregard as you will. It seems that this issue has popped up a couple times in different forms as of late.... maybe I'm totally off base but that is just my read on the situation.

My point was not to abuse it. I know I'll get killed... part of playing drow ^_-
But if you for exemple, each time you see me, wherever that may be, you jump me and kill me... that's abuse to me.
whenever there is abuse on a multiplayer game, ppl scream and cuss, and act like crybaby to the DM. If everyone remains reasonable (thats the feel of the server so far), then we need not worry...

I think in these cases, people are also not using the roll a d20 rule. After someone kills you you roll and anything under 10 means you do not remember what happened. I also agree that there are couple people that grab anynew person they can to take out and level up, though in reality they do this to level themselves up, not the new guy.

Hey Addicted and Makzimia we care and know the big waves have come a shore and we need to just ride them out till the calm waters return. Storms and high waves are great for washing out the drift wood and making everything fresh and sunny on the beach once again. what do I know of beaches living in Wisconsin for god sake. LOL I can dream cant I? Now ask me about snow , Well than that I know a lot about!! just trying to lighten the topic

Living in Wisconsin as well, let me take the liberty of winterizing your post:
Hey Addicted and Makzimia we care and know the snows have buried us deep and we need to just dig in till the thaw of spring returns. Frost and snow are great for freezing out the weak and come May everything will be fresh and sunny on the wood and plains once again.

Well I'm new here and I like what I see of the server. I have been playing PnP for eons, and NWN since it's been out, so I'm not new to DnD.
What it sounds like needs to be implemented is a PK limit. I have played on servers before with 3 PK/player/day limit and it seems to work fine. Basically any player can PK any other character 3 times in 1 RL day. This also applied for pick pockets as well, since it can be abused in the same way.
This allows for lots of RPing PKs, but limits people from camping near spawn points an killing the same person over and over.
As far as rez'ing the person you just killed, well good luck. If I dislike you enough to kill you I'll likely guard your body so you CAN'T be rez'ed.
Anyways, just my thoughts.

Sorry I got to disagree with that last post, as is I have seen litle PK. yeah it happens oh well, live goes on (no pun intended). I see it like this saying there is a 3PK a day limit, makes you think oh, I can kill 3PCs today! Where my additude is well alot can be done without killing the PC, and I have only been in a PK situation once...
My point, is I see this place kinda like Cheers.... in a DnD sense...
"you want to go where people go, where people are all the same" "you want to go where everyone knows your name"
