His Majesty Merrick Wend having been informed of civil unrest in Styne due to the lack of acceptance of the new Viceroy and his council, has recalled the position and is declaring martial law. As of tomorrow guards are under orders to settle civil unrest in their sight. Also his Majesty will visit more often to Styne to handle civil matters and requests.
As a side note, no one in council need feel this is a direct kick to them, I merely became increasingly concerned at where this headed from Saturday with so many people becoming unhappy that up until now have been fine. It is NOT a strict RP server again, I seem to need to repeat that, that is a side effect that although pleasant I do not want to see becoming a us and them thing, like I have seen elsewhere, hence the simple rules of courtesy I put in place that effect Rpers and Hack and slashers about OOC etc. I have had to spend more than 12 hrs in last few days in discussions with parties involved. I am tired, this is done.
Keep it fun, and if you must get into a fight, don't get into the mistakes of ignoring a D20 roll and or metagaming, logging off and coming back in with a higher level PC.
Thanks, and let's try to keep it fun.
Makz.

Man, I was disappointed about the fact that the position was dissolved and not because I was on the Council, either. It made things a little more interesting for a while, regardless of who's "side" you were on. Oh well. I just hope that some other developments that are DM sponsored can give the land a common storyline, for that those who like to RP. Season Greetings to all.

Really bumming about the recall. I was not on the council but enjoyed the RP the Viceroy position offered. Metagaming and logging for total lamers. Ban them Death ends a PvP, you lost...get over it and play on. darn ... Its only a game.

I think that its kind of a shame this was done away with. I thought it opened doors for a great many things that I thought would be very cool to see. Its a shame that no one waited a little while and let him get settled before trying to overthrow the guy, or do whatever else they were doing. I didn't like some things about how it all got started, so I removed myself from it all, but I figured to give him a few weeks to put his ideas and plans in motion and then re-assess my feelings on it, I mean afterall, he wasn't the Viceroy for 12 hours and people were yelling rebellion, and many for the wrong reasons (can you say metagame?). Again, I am disappointed, but I guess if it was causing too many problems, it is for the best that he was removed.
