A Recycled Event would be a DM event that happens more than once. With all of the talk of event caps, and the fact that I had to turn *12* people away on the last event (18 showed), I think it may be good if the same event runs multiple times. Even performing past old events done long ago periodically again. I keep a ledger of most people who participate on each one, so I'll make sure you don't have people doing them twice (unless they are metagaming under another name). Bad parts: If I am doing events, less time for writing new stories and do development. Players who go on the "first trip" can pass stuff on to their friends and upset it for the second group. Good parts: More players can be serviced, less left behind. Each time I would perform, probably depending on how much coffee I had that day, I may accidently modify the dialogue's grammar a little and events may take on different spins, so each group may have a silghtly different experience. ----------- So... which is it the players want?

In my mind, the best case scenario would be to get another DM to allow for more events without killing development time. I realize that it isnt that simple though as there has to be a decent amount of trust and knowlege between the existing DMs and any new one. Something to perhaps consider keeping an eye out for though...

The overall idea is funfactor, for you for us. So, if you would enjoy running a story over again and who knows most likely things would change a bit from DM event to DM event even if they were the same. Then I would love to have that happen, I am here for the fun of it, and I find DM events alot of fun.... generally I want "Management" to do what they want, so they don't get bored, tired, burnt out or frustrated....
Again this is only my opinion....

With the demise of the Viceroy, the opening is there in my opinion for some sort of RP as to what the locals want to do about self governing now, including approaching the High King with something, or just plain taking control through consensus amongst themselves. I have no problem with that, and it seems to me to be the next logical step, just remember I don't want to see Pk fests ever again, RP it out, and live the story of your entrapment on Fredian as a new life etc...

What about allowing more people to go on the adventure to include more? It might mean more dev. time on the story, but would allow for more players at once. I'm not against recycling events.

Makz, you sure you got that post under the right topic? Thank you for your opinion phoenix. I am still leaving the poll open so we can get more votes in. At the time of this posting, it is rather evenly split, with a few players more favoring new features and development (both code or writing new stories). I recall the Pantheon poll a long time ago once had strict FR in the lead, and a rush of last minute votes pulled custom deities into a clear lead, so I am going to wait this one out and see what people think. The "burden" level of doing dev & stories is about the same for me. Thus, on this matter, its merely a question of what people would like to see more of. One of the most common messages sent to me after an event is, " dang, I missed it" or "rats, I logged in too late." But then again, new toys, features, systems, and bugfixes are also greatly hailed by the playerbase. So it is just a matter of asking what people's priorities are. At this time I would probably balance my time between dev & DM events given results to date, but we'll see how the poll goes.

I voted yes to having DM events run more than once. As Addicted pointed out, he can easily change some parts of it to give it a little different flavor so it isn't exactly the same. Most players, if they know that the quests will be repeated for others (I would hope) will not give spoilers out. If players just want XP there are enough low level and high level characters out there who want to power game to play just for XP.
