Makz, if you dont want this here, delete it and I will never post the likes again. I just want to get back online, but I totally understand if you do not wish content like this displayed Well, now that we have the wonderful new patch, I am back to not being able to use it due to my broken CD. If ANYONE knows where I can get a working NoCD patch please e-mail me. (Makz runs a pretty clean show around here, so dont put the link here) I would greatly appreciate it. I physically broke my CD just before the last patch. (BTW, gamecopyworld does not have one yet) Thanks!

No problem at all, I hope you get sorted out shortly. And BTW, how do I post a picture into a message here, or do I have to post a link? Makz.

Oh I see what you mean - yes, as far as I know they will not host the file for you, it has to be hosted on some webspace you have and then linked to here. Sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. BTW, there may be another alternative that I am not aware of. I only know what I know cuz I went a-lookin

Most people who are interested in a "NoCD" key are not just your case: a broken CD.
There are a lot of people who cannot get past the SECUROM bug and require NoCD versions of the executables.
My advice to you is to hangout with the SecuRom crowd in the bioware forums (nwn.bioware.com). Do a search for SecuRom. A lot of those people actively hunt for NoCD versions of the game and you can IM them. That was how I found one once before, until I learned how to sidestep the issue -- ironically -- by slowing my computer down by running other applications at the same time as NWN.
Regardless, I play using FreeBSD anyway but I do like my Windows box to run when doing development for Fredian.
So: Find the SecuRomers, and they may find you the NoCD'rs.

www.alcohol-software.com/ This burning software will allow you to make backups of your CD to ISO files, which you can virtually mount. No CD necessary, just need the rip of the disc. Better than nocd.exes since you are not running hacked code.

Thanks all for the advise BTW, Deamon Tools seems to be primarily about making backups of CDs, which is great normally, but not so great when the CD you own is cracked in half (like mine). Same deal for Alcohol 120%, but I think Im going to start using something like that. Cant get to game copyworld easily from work, so Ill have to look for the update from home (yesterday they had the 1.62 for SOU, but not for HtoU). Anyway, thank you all again!

OH pooo... go spend the $ 19.99 and get another one *evil grin*
Ain't I just a miserable SOB.
Alcholol and NWN don't mix, at least not on my system. I tried that combo because I hate, AND I MEAN HATE having to have a CD in my system unless there is a need. Games that require CDs are a pain and the person that thought of that Idea should be shot, it does not stop the hackers, warez pirates and scum like that, it only keeps the honest people out.

I don't have a alcohol created ISO for HoU, but I did for SoU. I don't think there is some inherent problem, there are just many-many options you need to check when creating the ISO. Check the forums at alcohol's site, there is a list of games and their different methods for CD checking. Once you know what type of protection is being used you look at the list for settings for that protection. Creating the ISO can take a while, as it's not just doing a simple read on the CD to a file, it's looking all the sub-channel data and built-in errors in the disc.
EDIT: all this info should be considered legal, as it's simply making backups for your CDs for cases like Silentus', if this is a little too grey, just axe my posts.
