As Makz has stated on another post, the PLing stops now with the new patch.

My feelings towards PLing are in total agreement with Makz...I hate it...with the new patch there is no reason for it!!

I can understand before the patch the need for a XP badger/monkey (whatever you want to call them) and i also admit that with my first server char. I was guilty of it for the last 3 or 4 levels of thats chars. build.

Now however, having wandered around a bit with a party of all similar levels (28-31) the Xp is there for the taking, without this underhanded way of gaining XP. New characters to the server, and indeed new PLAYERS, should really have to EARN their XP, dont you think?
(Like i said, i am not totally innocent of this before the patch came out, but now, there is NO excuse to do it)


So, having made my feelings clear, how does everyone else think? Also, am i preaching to the choir here? after all, it seems to me that most of the responsible players read these forums anyways. Hmph.

Makz, does this constitute a breach of server rules? and if so, what should we do if we see this?


I know that this subject has been discussed LOTS already, previous to the patch, so if you nerf this now Makz, i understand.

Were you one when Makz put the smack down on PL'ing?

I think most of us have been guilty of it at one point or another...particularly those of us that were nailed by the spawn/xp bug.

I will grant that I am happily marathon playing Mala to 40 tonight, but I am running her solo against everything I can find.

PL'ing just creates resentment. I know that I resent the heck out of it when someone that was level 2 one day is asking me to make them Truth literlally the next day.

With this patch (presuming that it doesn't have to be slagged for other issues), there is no need to PL. Just play the game and enjoy it.

Let me close this discussion by once and for all clearly stating my opinion on powerleveling, more precisely what I don't want to see. Example : Player A reaches level 20 takes player B to the Cyrpts to go XP hunting. A player on their own who manages to gain whatever levels over a short time I have NO problem with. I say I have no problem with this as long as they don't then start bothering me that they have nowhere to go and nothing to do . And also that they have not been on the world 2 or 3 days and start acting like they know it all and griefing others and or just making fools of themselves. Since on the whole the most responsible players read this, I am probably not talking to any of you... but you know now my stand.
