I would like to ask all of you out there if you could help me with a problem. I recently moved to MD and there isn't any high speed available so they say. Well the dial up only connects at 24K. If any body has a slow connection they know my pain. I have searched dslreports for a provider and that was a bust. Is there any way or where I can speed up my connection? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm...if you are only running a standard dial up modem...and you cant get a better connection, you may want to try ringing up your telephone company and asking them to increase the 'gain' on the line. This hopefully will improve performance of your line a little. DONT turn the gain up too far, or you'll get interference coming through your line when you use the phone.
