I admit it, I'm a new guy here. I stumbled upon this server fairly recently and I really like the large maps and custom content.
Exploring all the areas is great, but I was wondering if there was some sort of map...

no map since makz wants people to explore his constantly expanding realm...
someone prolly has a map but i doubt they would publish it against makz wishes...

As said, no map will ever be shown, however, once you reach level 20, there are certain sellers who will sell you a book or maps, for showing whole areas as explored to make it easier, and that includes places such as Cave city. You will have noted that all area transitions on external areas are clearly marked as to where they go to. In addition in the main city/village areas most if not all are marked with map points also.
