Sorry if this has been many times before (I did search!), but is there anyway to change a character description once a character has been created?
Cheers

Afraid not buddy. However, a tip for you: I always leave the description blank, leave the default on, or just give a description of what other people can SEE. I dont give out background, apart from as a story on the forum here. That way, if people want to 'know' about your character, they will have to rp for the info.

This seems to be the best place for me to pose my question. I'm fairly new to the wee lil island of Fredian and I'd say what a crackin' place it is too, but you've already had your asses kissed far to much!
Anyway, my question; I am well aware of the fact the the character description is uneditable once it is created, but I am at a complete loss as to knowing how to actually view it myself, as it does not appear on my Character Sheet. I just wondered if it was possible to view your own characters descirption after you've written it?
This is only a minor problem, I of course know who my Character is, what he does and how he acts, but a helpful reminder would always be handy.
Thank you ever so very much! (I of course say this with the assumtion someone will reply...)

Hello Charlie, This might not be the easiest way to do it, but your character sheet is saved locally on your machine. If you open the .bic file with a text editor, you can see your examine text, embedded in all the other kludge. Hanah

Thank you very much my dear for such a quick response! Double browny points for you!
It's a shame the game doesn't take care of this, but alas, it is only a simple matter.
Thank you again.

Actually, there is an easier way than the way Hanah does it. All you do is export your character to local vault. Then you open up a single player module and you can click on edit character (or whatever the button is called) and go through the screens until you get to your name, age, description, deity, subrace, and voiceset choosers. Your description will be right there.
As for the examine text, I usually write out a description of what the character looks like (eye color, hair color, etc.), especially distinguishing marks (like scars for example).I usually (but not always) leave out any type background information.

There's an even easier way. Assign the Inspect action (icon of an eye) to a quick key, click the quick key, click your character.
Now all I want to know is how to see what deity I typed in when I created the character.
I'm with Charlie in that I put a physical description in the box. What my character looks like, sounds like, and (in one memorable character on another server) smells like. The stuff other characters see.
