Hanah ;D , she is the most popular goddess on Fredian, although she won't admit it, she'll profess it is Anah.
Jotham and Tyr are others I have heard of, but to get a better idea visit the patheon in the desert.

Apparently someone hasnt read the Important Information - FAQ forum [/color] Please go there and look at the Thread aptly named "Fredian Dieties". While youre in that neighborhood, it would be wise to read all the threads in that forum. I know there are alot of threads between all these forums, and I dont expect people to look thru all of them - there is a ton, but that one Forum should be read by all. There are about 20 threads there and most of them have no replies, so your ane not looking at a huge time investment.

When will you give up and admit it Hanah... this false modesty is unbecoming and not fit for a goddess of your stature - Hanah is the most woshipped goddess on our little island All hail Hanah, goddess of ... um.... *confers with Vugor* Good Stuff! *bows*

Hey, I read mostly everything... I guess something slipped past my hawk eyes... (Does spot check... In real life, i would suppose my wisdom is 8) Yep, it missed! Actually, another question popped up... Does Fredian follow the rules of dead powers or are all the FR deities alive and kicking? (Kill MY FAVORITE DIETIES WILL YOU?!!!!) And one other... On the Fredian deities, what are thier alignments? (I'm a hardcore deity spaz and will not follow deities who run more than two spaces away in the alignment grid.) *Jealousy boiling*

NP, thats part of my job - to harass people so Makz doenst have to - hehe. The pantheon in game offers much more verbose descriptions. Those have deliberately not been posted here, so if you are interested in a god based on the simple description, you should really go there and find out what they are fully about. As far as your new question - did you actually read that post in important info - it explains it: Ok, here is how it works. As most of you know, The Isle of Fredian can be loosely equated with an outlink to the bermuda triangle except for the Forgotten Realms. People go in, but they can't get out, it seems. As such, Forgotten Realms cultures and deities exist as new people fall into the island from time to time, bringing their lives and beliefs with them. What is Forgotten Realms ("FR")? FR is basically your typical (A)D&D world where a good number of campaign settings take place, such as Baldur's Gate, Amn, Neverwinter, the Underdark, and Anaroch to mention a few. It basically has gods like Bhaal, Tyr, Mystra, Selene, Lolth, Mask, Loviatar, Cyric, and so on and so on. These are all acceptable deities to RP in the world of Fredian. However, some local gods exist too. They were mainly made up by the Fredians over the ages. This kind of thing happens when you get cut off from the main continent via a magical interplanar rift The Fredian deities do not possess powers outside the Island, as that is where their only worshippers who feed them tend to exist. Some Fredian deities highly resemble FR gods and goddesses. Some believe maybe Magog and Bhaal are the same thing using two different names. Its hard to say whether this is so or not... after all, Bhaal has been dead for quite awhile Or maybe Fredian is where Jergal finally retired too? *chuckle* Anyway, in my following post I will present a list of the "local" Fredian deities. For your FR gods, you should search on-line or buy one of the D&D books. Good google search pattern may be "Forgotten Realms" + deities

Thats odd, why wouldn't you post your deity's alignments? That's one of the most OOC parts of a Deity you can possibly think of... *Bawls*
I have to go searching for some dumb book to find the alignments, argh! I can't wait till I'm strong enough to not worry about it and be satisfied IC... Lol

Thats odd, why wouldn't you post your deity's alignments? Thats an OOC function... Perhaps, but I suspect the rationale is that it encourages players to RP learning about the local gods... after all they are unlike any deities that characters have ever experienced before. And alignment with gods, like with people, is best demonstrated by their actions/personalities, right? Speaking of deities, I will accept defeat for the time being... I'll go back to this for this morning/afternoon but this evening I'm up for some good old-fashioned worship;-) Hanah ... everyone gets a cookie!

I guess that can work...
>.0 I still don't wanna' die looking for that book... And I know I will...
Kinda reminds me of the necronomicon... whatever that evil dead book is...
Okay, I'm convinced, new IC goal is to find the book and hopefully do something with it that is actually useful!!!
I'll shut up now, I'm just mad because I can't play right now due to wierd problems...

What book? If there is a book that has alignments, Im not aware of it. If you mean the Pantheon thats a place - a temple of sorts where statues to all the gods reside. It doesnt state thier alignments there either though (although G/N/E is apparent from the buildings layout). It does give much more verbose descriptions of the gods there however which will make picking a diety much easier. The main reason they werent included (I think this but dont know it) is that alignment is really not that important in worshiping a god - it is simply the easy way that standard DnD picked to make it easier for those who wernt sure how to role play religeon. Pick a god based on what your character admires or stives to be, or based on what power and advantage he seeks to gain, or whatever makes sence to you - not on an oversimplified system that causes as many debates as it solves. ...dont just think outside the box, live there (btw, sorry bout your problem keeping you from playing

I will vouch that Silentus' assertions about deities are the "correct" view, at least in terms from how the pantheon and its deities were designed. From the descriptions you can usually get a feeling whether or not that deity is lawful, chaotic, or is impartial to law or chaos (neutral), and G/N/E is in the floor layout.
To be honest, the deities are stock characters, and the reason why people accuse Hanah of being a goddess is that she is one of the few players who took a deity and through her imagination and roleplay managed to ascribe it to characteristics that were more or less "living".
Another words, she animated "Anah".
Really, this is what we are looking for. I recall Makz telling me that Fredian accepted thematic contributions and stories to add to the island's theme and taste (from the playerbase). The deities were created in accordance with that philosophy. Besides, its generally wise to leave a topic like religion -- even pseudo religion (these arn't real, right, otherwise you are all worshipping a corner of my imagination) -- it is best to be open ended so people won't feel there is a god missing for this or a goddess that doesn't do that....
FR does it too. Look at all the "portfolios" under Cyric....
