The Homecoming When: Mid-Afternoon Sat Aug 28th leading into Sun Aug 29th Where: Poway CA - Makz's House How: Send an email from your PRIMARY e-mail account (not hotmail, Yaho, etc...) to tcmax@castille.us with the following information .....1. Real Name & primary user name on Fredian
.....2. Address - NO PO boxes accepted!
.....3. Telephone number and best time to contact you.Details: Party will be a case of all going to Denny's probably for dinner, since this is probably the easiest and least expensive thing, I have other options but I don't want to put strain potentially on peoples pockets? Following that, if you are all pretty normal  (j/k) there will be drinks and nibbles at my house here until whenever. For accomodation, I suggest Best Western Country Inn, there is one nearby in Poway CA that would suit both wallet and comfort for most I would think, they also serve breakfast. And, if you are in a REAL bind, we do have spare rooms in my house, people can bunk down in.
NOTE: MAKZ wanted all the requests in by Aug 1st, so if you still want to do this, mail him ASAP!

I know it may seem a little premature, however, the year does in fact seem to be zooming by again, and given the perpensity for some of you to travel anyway... I thought I would throw this out there for feedback. Salandra suggested this, so blame her  , August 28th this year, about what, 4 mths away? marks the anniversary of the birth of the Island of Fredian, and I was thinking of having a party somewhere nearby here then, or near then... SO... who would be interested in coming? this I think then gives sufficient time for plans. With numbers I can then decide on a venue, and I can suggest nearby reasonable accomodation etc. Ok, back to you all... Makz. |

While I would .ove to come to such an event, I know there is no way I could make it either. My sister would kil me if I went a thousand miles west for a party with gamers when I havent goe 1000 to the east to visit her in bean town in the last 15 years  Heres a thought though - for those not attending the primary, perhaps cells could arange regional parties - something more drivable? (Always look to me to complicate things beyond what is nessacary - hehe) |

LOL...well ya know the central timezone IS between the eastern time zone and Cali...what if a crazy Cracker kidnapped you for a roadtrip Silentus?
Count me in, it is only what a 38 hour drive from here to there? I think I could manage that with enough coffee and maybe a couple of bags of sunflower seeds (keeps me from chainsmoking in the car).
Last time I did the east to west trip it was the 21 hour drive from West By God Viginia to New Mexico. There are always kind folks that will act as cop magnets by driving hot cars with vanity plates like CTCH THS (I still give thanks for the red 3000GT rag top that hit Hereford, TX ahead of me in the camaro at 140mph).

Wow
Young freidians running away from home. A beatiful lady taking Silentus from his wife against the wishes of his sister and a great party. Without the references to after school movies or bad country songs I don't think this is one to miss. I got a Mother-in-law in Concord and some vacation time built up, maybe I can trick the wife into thinking it is a visit to mom while i slip out for the party!!!
Wishfull thinking can get me half way I'll see what i can do.
I'll try to steal a few more Pittsburgher on the way.

My company has a year end meeting every year.
At our last year end meeting we have offices in Toronto, Houston, Durham (N.C.), Colorado, Santa Barbara, Amsterdam, and more.
What they did was webcast it and it was teleconferenced.
I don't personally have the equipment, but perhaps we can take advantage of this kind of idea. How many people would be able to host any kind of webcasting?
