The Homecoming When: Mid-Afternoon Sat Aug 28th leading into Sun Aug 29th Where: Poway CA - Makz's House How: Send an email from your PRIMARY e-mail account (not hotmail, Yaho, etc...) to tcmax@castille.us with the following information .....1. Real Name & primary user name on Fredian
.....2. Address - NO PO boxes accepted!
.....3. Telephone number and best time to contact you.Details: Party will be a case of all going to Denny's probably for dinner, since this is probably the easiest and least expensive thing, I have other options but I don't want to put strain potentially on peoples pockets? Following that, if you are all pretty normal  (j/k) there will be drinks and nibbles at my house here until whenever. For accomodation, I suggest Best Western Country Inn, there is one nearby in Poway CA that would suit both wallet and comfort for most I would think, they also serve breakfast. And, if you are in a REAL bind, we do have spare rooms in my house, people can bunk down in.
NOTE: MAKZ wanted all the requests in by Aug 1st, so if you still want to do this, mail him ASAP!

Wait a minute... I am driving to San Diego tomorrow morning and I have absolutly no flippin' clue on when and where I am meeting everyone.  (besides Makz house and Dennys) Should we just hang out at Sea World until Makz calls us? ;D I always wanted to spend the day in SD. -Lumix *charges camera and fiddles with video tape* ... hehe |

I am off to play golf, but, when I return, I will write up something about my thoughts of the party also, to those that missed out, we did in fact sit on the java chat here, and broadcast on shoutcast from 8pm-9pm PST, there were some techinical problems with that, then we shut it down when it intefered with the running of the server Makz. |

The gathering was awesome for me. I will definitely go to next year's, regardless of what I may bump into... I tend not to show very much emotion (too much time with computers will give a person a poker face) and maybe my excitement wasn't visible, but it was there. We even got to fix a little issue.. ok maybe a big issue... ok maybe a huge issue.. while we were at it, and Makz was glowing when he went to bed, and he was still glowing when I saw him the next morning. That was really cool to watch. Saw r1de again for the 3rd time, and Vugor/Silentus and his bud were most impressive with their Fredian book, acuteness, and generosity. Lumix with his bardisms who took a video of a lot of it, unfortunately he had poor lighting but I'm confident the master of editing will find a way to make the event look awesome. Salandra was an awesome hostess. Thanks Makz for opening your home, and thanks to all who came, especially Vugs who came so far!! I would use your real names, but its the forums =) |

Ok, a little later than just after golf Salandra dragged me out for most of the rest of the day, as I was walking in the door. The party.. let me see.. Ride arrived first late Friday night... he and I have met before, and he was tired but we stayed up chatting until near midnight. Silentus and his mate turned up about 11am Saturday morning... we will see him on the server in the near future . Addicted and Lumix got stuck with various things including a car accident and arrived around late afternoon. Lumix was everywhere with that video camera.. and sadly we forgot to get photos in addition to that.... so, good chance he won't be on anything  I was so thrilled with some gifts I recieved, Silentus brought me a book with messages from a lot of you in praise of my work, I was truly very touched, and shed a small tear or two. We all sat around, got to know each other, and exchanged stories. Ate dinner at Denny's, Salandra and I went in period costume, much to the amusement of all I played some drums,guitar, keyboard, sang a medieval song Salandra and I have written, and some other stuff. Talked about various things, tried to do the shoutcast server until around 9pm then when trying to close it down, it decided to take the server all down.. scrambled for next 10 mins getting all sorted out, then sat back down and chatted more, ate, drank etc. Around midnight, addicted then asked me something which led to a late night fix ... He and I were the last ones standing at around 3am when we went to bed. Sunday morning we said goodbye, and so ends this years anniversary party, hopefully we will have all of them, and more at it. Sadly Mitz and Mysaides were unable to turn up in the end, and Emolas who was a very late entry, missed it also. Makz. |
