Hi folks. I've been looking for a new RP PW to join; and, based on the ranking and comments on NWVault, this seems like a good place. I have a couple questions I'm hoping one of the regulars would be kind enough to answer.
1. Has True Seeing been changed so that it doesn't spot stealthed creatures? Or is it default NWN where there isn't much point in using stealth? Does everyone run around with True Seeing items? I prefer to play sneaky types, but I don't want to invest time into a character whose main ability is gimped.
2. I enjoy adventuring and interacting with others, but I don't like crafting. Will I be able to "earn" a living just by adventuring? Will I be able to properly equip a character by purchasing from merchants or other players? Or will I be at a disadvantage for not crafting?
3. Are any Skills or Feats useless? Is Appraise used to lower merchant prices? Are Healer's Kits available for use with the Heal skill? Do opponents use Knockdown and Disarm so that Discipline is required? Are any Spells or Feats changed from their default behavior?
I never have enough free time to play as much as I'd like, so I don't want to waste time making a character that's going to be ineffective or no fun. I'd appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

1) At higher levels most of us use Truth which grants true seeing and will indeed see right past even HIPS. Stealth is still great for the majority of monsters. Also keep in mind that true sight does expire like any other spell, and once it is gone, it must be re cast giving a sneak or shadowdancer a distinct edge.
2) You can make a handsome living on adventuring, however crafting is definitely where the best cash is. Equipment bought from stores is not quite as good as crafted equipment, but oyu can get by against most critters with it. Additionally most crafters will trade or sell wares for either raw materials like hides, cash, or service. Some will give you equipment either for being their minion or because you appear to be a fellow defender of thier cause.
3) Appraise has no really gran duse on this server. Knock the spell doe snot open locked doors (though scrolls of knock are used in a crafted item). Most critters do not have disarm, some have knockdown, and if you are going to engage other PC's you want discipline. Healers kits are available from many merchants. Craft Armor and Craft Weapon skills are used to change the appearance of items only. Crafting is the only way to build from scratch.
I am sure I missed a few things, but those are what came to mind right off the bat. Hope that helps...

To add to MItz's comments... NO spells are nerfed on Fredian, knock is a bioware bug, however, timestop is modified to not effect the whole server, only the area of effect.
Other than that, there is a rich world to explore, and many ways for a character to interact and gain wealth and or experience, what you make of it, is entirely up to you... but many have tried and succeded, others have undoubtably also failed due to inexperience and lack of patience.
Enjoy,
Makz.

Grendel, I'm gonna help you out because I too, play a stealth character. Ahem... 1. No. (I wish it were changed because my stealth is the only thing i have against you upper level characters. a petition is soon to be in order...)
2. Yes.
3. Appraise-No. Heal-Yes. Discipline-Yes.
Playing stealth is fun. (Find Prince Sirrus and he'll help you start out)

Umm.... Actually...
The spell Circle from Alignment is null. Don't use it, never works. (One of the best darn spells in the game though! Now I have to take up my divine favor slots >.< ((Aura blows...))
Other from that, rock on.
