Hello everyone. New to the boards, and the world as well (which is still ranked #1 ;D). I spent a little time touring the world, and was really impressed with the community (actual RP'ers!). Had a short conversation with Makzimia, and was asked to possibly help out with the scripting aspects of IoF. I must say, it'd be an honor to lend my skills, as this is by far the best PW I've visited. For those unfamiliar, I created the PGS which is currently in use here (don't shoot me yet, the newest version works very well ). Ah well, at any rate, I look forward to helping out IoF.

Welcome to the Isle. PSG, hmm so your the one!!! *gets guns ready* Well nice timing, seems the system is getting some use(not many used it recently) and guild territories were just removed becuase of issues. I'd like to see a working system in place, the Isle has evolved quite a bit since I have been here and I think the latest crop of players is more interested in it. If you have any questions let us know, you can catch me in game as any of the names under my avatar.

Yes, while touring I did notice a number of interesting guilds available. As for territories, from version 3.5+ it was re-scripted and performs much better now. I am awaiting APS/NWNx2 table support at which point the PGS will then be compatible with both types of systems for persistency (this is the reason the new version was not implemented, I believe). The only downside is that versions prior to 3.0 will not be compatible with the newer versions...

The only downside is that versions prior to 3.0 will not be compatible with the newer versions... I say we dust off; nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure... Have everyone with a guild get their gold out and make like a bandit to the new and impoved system. I don't think there are many active guilds, so it shouldn't upset folks.

Welcokme Samius - very glad to have ya! Some of you may not be aware (I wasnt till recently) that Samius is known in the community for his scipting - including the emote wand that we all use frequently. You wonder why we ask you to vote on NWVault? This is one of the reasons - Samius probably noticed us in part due to that ranking. By voting high for Fredian, you may be making the Isle even better than it already is! Vote! If you are chatting ooc in game, tell them to vote! Alot of those folk dont see the forums and dont know how important this can be - not to mention simple bragging rights Anyway, got sidetracked - Welcome Samius!

I've just started a new guild...And I'm actively recruiting. And I must say....it ain't easy. Would it be wise to lay low in regard to using the different guild options? If so well, only recruiting for a while then. If you are interested in joining a guild, and you know what's best for you...click on the link below! <shameless advertising> Dusk Traders SyndicateBecause you know what is best for you</shameless advertising> <edit1> Oops, welcome Samius </edit1>

Thanks for the welcome everyone. As for updating the guild system, that's above me. However, many of the new features (which there are quite a few of) can be tempting... - Player list (all players in a guild). - Faction list (based on your guild). - Increased # of ranks (now 6). - Guild-specific rank names (no longer global). - Guild colors. - Guild joining fees. - Updated guild XP system. - Allies now share guild chat. - ... *sigh* too much to list, really. ;D Of course, this is not meant (in any way) to undermind those who put in the work to maintain the system (despite the bugs).
