I would like for it to be posted , what it takes to become a knight , I have heard of knights in training , but have never found out how this is to be done.
I my self as well as others I know always wanted to be a knight . (i'm sure my bad spelling we all know that i have wont make me able ) I do know players that would fit this well and the need for knights is a great one .
Thanx - AnoM ;D

Hey JoScMa or maybe Aviar - one of you want to address this, Ill put it somewhere appropriate once its hashed out...
Anom, keep in mind that this hasnt been formally addressed inthe past and in the end, after all teh RP in the world, the final descision is Makz of course.

This is a DM process since being a knight is really something between a DM and a player with their jailing abilities and other responsibilities. Thus it's a case by case things with Makz. and the other DMs.

Like Phoenix said, it's up to Makzimia to give the go ahead to make someone a knight.
As for the RP aspect of training to become a knight, you can become a squire to a knight for some time to prove your worth and if everything goes out smoothly, you can become a knight (assuming Makz gives the go ahead).
If you want to do this, you may want to speak with Mac in character and get the ball rolling. Or if you want to follow a pompous knight, talk to Aviar ;D

The Dark Knight speaks! Just kidding.... I will rattle off a few things that I can think of off of the top of my head.. 1. You should be a good RP'er. You are going to have deal with not only evil types and criminals, but regular law-abiding citizens as well, to mediate disputes and things of that nature or just to give information out to the locals as a representative of the King, so you should be somewhat skilled RP'er to juggle all those tasks. 2. You should be able to hold your own in combat. Now this is not an opening to just duke it out with "Team Evil" or anyone who does breaks a law, but Mack and Karl (where's he been?) would be the first to agree with me that you will get alot more respect from the "evil" crowd if they know you are not a pushover and the rest of the people kinda look up to a strong figure. 3. You should have an angle to your character. What I mean by this is if your character is to be a standout in the community by being a Knight, he/she should be interesting. Everyone knows Mack and Karl as the good guys, the "heroes" so to speak, and everyone knows Aviar as the shady, nebulous figure who you dont know quite what to think of him, and everyone know's Celith as the young, ambitious squire who worked hard to become a Knight. Xilo is also a mysterious and nebulous figure as well. So be interesting in some way. 4. You have to have patience, thick skin, and a sense of fairness. There are times when IC you will get annoyed by things that are going on or being said but you have to maintain your composure through it all, and just laugh off all the insults that come your way. Don't be throwing people in jail without a reason, and if you get beat, roll your dice and RP it out. 5. And the last thing is....Makz has to like your char and know your going to be around for a while Just a few tips, and it does help to become a squire, although it is a RP only position with no powers of arrest.. That summed it up pretty well, Aviar. The most important factor is really longevity and being a known solid community element. Makzimia makes the final call in all cases. *side note* Karl is stuck in real life right now, but he is alive and mostly well

As mentioned Mack or Aviar would be good knights to squire for, however I think some of us have forgotten that Celith (who I know has not been on in a while) is also a knight. You could ask him too...
