I was workin' on that werewolf quest in Styne harbor. I got the key off of Rodon, went in, and killed a couple of wererats. I needed to rest though (get some spells back), so I left the tower. Now I can't get back in! Is there any way to finish this quest, or did I just screw myself over?

I think you're going to have to wait a week (real life week) before you can get the quest again Unless there is a DM who would be nice enough to give you another key...

I do not encourage my DM's to give out the key again, and we have done in the past... but really... when you enter, if you are paying attention, the key is removed, so... how do you expect to get in again?? hmmm.... I wonder if I might get Rodon to give the key again when he checks you if you haven't finished with Raol yet, I could, BUT, the problem I saw with that, and still do!!! is, there is only one key... anyway.

Well, I dunno if that stnads to reason Makz, that one key somehow magically disapears once ou use it in the door the first time... Im not saying you should change it, just that from an RP standpoint I dont see it as a sticking point.
I think alot of the concern here is more from IoF newbies... I sent a DM tell on this exact same issue earlie in my career here ONLY because the previus world I came from did not reset thier quests 1/week. Newbies dont always know this, so they think they just missed thier one and only chance to finish it and become concerned. I know there is no way to force them to read the info presented to them or the forums , but I suspect that is why you hear about it alot.

The only reason I accept in this case now is if the server crashes and the player ends up getting thrown back outside after restart. Other than that, I would tell them tough luck. Would be nice if the key is taken away when the party talks to Raol instead of when the door opens. Would save the people from bugging me somewhat

Yeah actually Jo, I like that idea, and it is easy to do. Consider it done, you will lose the key as you talk to Raol next update! I love simple solutions. Makz.

Thanks Makz, because I am the bad softy DM that lets people in on that one...though i always suggest going with someone else that hasn't done it yet if there is anyone available.
