Greetings Fredians,
Last night as a lot of you know, I held a general DM meeting to discuss our current state of being. This was done in light of recent events and the poll results.
I will try to keep this as simple and clear as I can, so that those who are less likely to read long flourishing lines, and those who are our lawyers , will be in NO DOUBT, of my meaning.
ALL RPers and our other crews will from now on find I am having my DM's become very hard on cutting out veiled OOC. This is basically using roleplay to harrass others who are not playing the game the way YOU think it should be played.
There is no IF or BUT in this, you will stop it, and observe my rules, they are simple and in place, and in MOST cases work 100% of the time, to keep ALL of your gaming on Fredian fun and interesting for ALL.
We have had many players of many play styles come on to my server over the last 11 mths, many have stayed, many have moved on, voluntarily, and sometimes, forcefully.
Out of those around you now, I can think of at least a dozen names who were on the other side of the RP camp and now are avid RPers.
Do not sell the players short who do not understand why you are on as say a half-celestial palemaster/red dragon disciple. They are usually from a background of pencil and paper D&D and in a lot of cases never played a computer game before this one. This does not mean you will get in their space and be annoying however. You will remember they play differently than you do, and not stand around puffing your chests out etc. If you want to learn how to RP, there are MANY players in our RP crew, who would love to help you learn.
And vice versa, those of you who are RPers, they can, and will, become interested more in RP, if the oppurtunity, without prejudice, is given them over time.
I am not going to outline griefing again, Mitz has quite clearly pointed that out, and we banned a certain player in the last 2 days who was breaking that badly.
It is my server and my rules, it is your world, and you get my welcome, and I expect your courtesy.
Thank you.
Makz.
