ok looking at some webcasting options while I had a minute here...
I was hoping I could get a server componet to run on r1de.net then something I could run from my laptop and stream the video to the server for you all to connect to and watch....
like Shoutcast but for video...
might not get that optimal solution for me...
other solutions would require makzimia to open ports on his router/firewall (bad!) or use of another IP address on his connection to just serve the video off the laptop directly... (could cost $ or p.o. his ISP)
another option I see right now are still pictures uploaded at interval to webpages...
we could always use the teamspeak for some voice confrencing during the party... Makz has the mics and gear to make it like you were sitting in the room with us I am sure, albeit a *dark* room where you couldn't see us... but there has to be a solution to the video problem I am just not seeing...
there is still like 2 weeks and change left till the party, I'll keep looking, but I'd like to open the floor for suggestions from everyone else...
anyone who might have done something like this before?
