Hey everyone, Addicted2RPG really messed his back up... seriously, he's pretty gimpy. If any of you follow the "Get Fuzzy" comic strip lately... its similar to that right now. By all means he is 'okay', but any tips on relieving back-pain would be greatly appreciated. He's going to go see the doctor today (after not going for 3 days now!) So yeah, if you have some ancient family acupuncture recipe or idea... please post it! Thanks much, Lumix

Listen to the man, he knows what hes talking about. Chiro all the way. I've been there too and the will make his world immesurably better the first day. Go 2 or 3 more times over the following week or 2 and life is good (you may not need 2 or 3 more visits and the chiropracter will probably push for more, but that has usually worked best for me). I feel for ya a2rpg - I'm moving this weekend and may be rowing that same boat (sitting bolt upright) before Im thru as well

Hey I feel for him. I fell off a scafolding 32 feet almost 10 years ago. I shrunk 1/4" (not kidding here ) and still require a very hot shower every morning to loosen things up just to walk without my knuckles dragging. I always thought, and still do, that Chiropractors are over paid Massage therapists and useless but my wife swears by hers. Really if he is bent over only rest can allieviate the swelling and or the lions share of the pain. I have another helpful component I use. It is like the old hot water bottle without the mess. It is basically a really durable mesh tube filled with some "bean bag" like stuffing. You put it in the microwave and heat it up. It stays "Hot" for about 45 minutes. The nice part is 2 minutes in the micro and 45 more minutes of heat. Also the bean bag stuffing conforms to your back so it fits snug in any position. Its not pillow like but its not a rubber balloon either. I think you can get them at any GNC or health store Iif not I'm sure homedics makes a version. Never found the one I got again anywhere and mine came from my hospital stay. Well I can't help fix it but no one really can. Backs and neck injuries seem to be forever. Welcome to the world of us walking gimps

Chiro and/or acupuncturist...avoid the orthos except to get the scripts for painkillers and the wonderful electromagnetic heat massages (unless you have access to the units we use on horses in which case toss a blanket over a stack of hay bales and plug yourself in). Get better soon, A2RPG! *hugs* ~mitz

Not all chiros are created equaul unfortunately - 3rd one was the charm for me - since I got him I have never needed to shop around again. Word of mouth counts for alot, though not everyone responds the same. I prefer the bone-cracker types, others like the massager types. Good luck man, hope some of the pain has let-up
