Heyllo Makzimia your good player friend Kairi here getting ready to KILL people i mean undead!  anyway my topic today is WINGS! whats up with the NO wingosity seriously you should allow DMs to give wings 'n' things to players this is MY opinion it worked great when i WAS DM on other servers you just have to ask the REASON for the wings frist realy i would like anyone who agrees to also give MORE posts and if you DONT agree then i will be forced to KILL i mean! ignore you ;D P.S. please include good word emphasizing in your replies ;D |

Wings ehh? Well based on my experiences with makz I'm almost certian that the big cheese's reply (and end to this thread) will be...

Makz doesn't like the idea of some people having some things that other people couldn't get with a bit of work. Thats why there are zero "Unique" items on the server.
And if someone is walking around with angel/fiend wings then close to everyone will inquire about getting something added. And Fredian already has a small problem with almost every char on the server being a Half- Half - Half Race or something to that extent. Adding a pair of wings to everyone would not help the "Circus Effect". Not to mention It would cuase latecy problems to be a bit tougher during "large gatherings".
When I get back into the game I acctualy have a big RP thing I'll be doing with a new char of mine with a heavy enfisis on her being Celestial. But I still wouldn't want wings on her just becuase of above said.

Well said Xilo  and actually, the largest reason is that adding wings requires either a: ME to add them manually from Leto... or b: to add the script stuff for Leto into the MOD, neither happening, but Xilo's reason is actually the best one, and if you think about it, you'll see what he means . We have some fixes going in VERY shortly from addicted that should take care of our rampant hybrids Makz. |

I had run a trial of NWNX Leto on a test mod I created.
In short, its not pretty. We would need more reasons than wings to get it, such as built-in damage resistance, wemics [which are overpowered], highly specialized features or skins, etc..
It's not really worth the effort in light of the news that in the next bioware update, subtyping (aka tails and wings) will be changeable from the standard scripting.
