***Public Notice*** Recently I have run into a couple of players who mystically have the ability to counterspell and attack at the same time (counterspell x2 + attacks in 1 round). I have asked these players how, and get the oblivious "I don't know how..." First, you know it's a bug, and your exploiting it. It's the reason counterspell can't be quickslotted. Your working around that, just so you can abuse the system. That's ok, now I know exactly WTF is going on. Next time I see it, expect to have a chat with a DM as I will be sending in screenies which will prove beyond a doubt that your using an exploit. I hope you have a better explaination that " " for them, but I expect you will be finding out what someone's fav. activity is.

I have known of this bug for a few months. It has to do with flipping the counterspell on and off rather rapidly at certain intervals. If you can get the timing down, one can do this sort of thing. As Phoenix shrewdly points out, do it and die

Oddly, I don't see this as a bug exploit. I see it as someone that has spent to far too much time becoming very dexterous with their radial menus. If I am not mistaken it has to do with the re-roll of iniative. It is the same reason that you can use a potion and get normal attacks if you are not being lazy and using your quickslots. How many people bother? Or even notice that one? I am personally too lazy to abandon my quickslot

Dexterity has 0 to do with this, like comedy, it's in the ti-ming. Something else removes the dexterity from the equation. I have choice words for people like this, but this is a PG post.

*grins* Come now Phoenix, you have seen the mess I make trying to cast spells from anything but quickslots with Tisi...hit myself with my own ice storms regularly...player's manual dexterity does have at least a little to do with it.

There was also a timing bug from SoU, I think maybe fixed in HotU by now not sure, where you can get unlimited attacks per round by timing a sequence of wield/un-wield. I've even personally used it to a mild extent and it works. Bioware is full of timing bugs. My position is the same as usual. Read your journals. closed.
