it might have been answered somewhere else - For now I've tried to google the answer, read every single post there is in here - but still it seems I cannot find any answer to this one - Ok here goes:
I'm using the test module that comes with the ATS - Very good to test out everything to see that everything is as it should be. But the minable rocks seem to lack something, and I can't for my life figure out what it is.
I'm aware that I should be making a new waypoint, so I do - stick it under "Custom 1" and then place it.
The name is MSP_MST300_XST600_DUR50_CLU5_DST2_OPL20_COP60_IRO20_DUR25
The tag is "ATS_MSP_WP". Loading up the module and it spawns the stones just beautifully. But they're not mineable.
So I added some debug code to the ats_mrock_atk to see what the tag really is - and it comes up as "ats_mrock_basic". That is with the suggested rock string from the readme files - could anyone explain to me what I am doing wrong? Or have I overseen the obvious "Set this switch!" ? ;-)
Oh - And I have to say - "ROCK ON!" way to go, good work on the system!

Fajimas, The spawning waypoint system is not something we did ANY work with. The rocks that are with our version of ATS are self respawning on a timer, which I think from memory I set to a maximum of 5 mins between spawns. There is no need for the old WP system, and in fact it takes realism AWAY from mining that way. I suggest you stop pulling your hair out trying to use something that at best was buggy and laggy. Place mineable rock and forget and place most difficult ones in places that are hard to get to and move them occasionally to give the feeling more of rarity. Makz.

Wow thanks for the apt reply - this most certainly explained a lot to me Not what I wanted to hear, but that's just me So - I should place the mineable rocks with a correct tag (i.e. ATS_MROCK_COP) around where I want the stones, or should I use the ores? I don't know if you still update the package (not the module or the ats itself, just the contents of readmes ;-) ) that is on the nwn site, but if you do you might want to take out the part in the ats_about_readme.txt about the waypoints (lines 257 - 348).

No, no waypoints JUST rocks and gem deposits, they automatically handle it off self run scripts. And if you read the details of release, you would know I am not going to be releasing anything in the future for this. It was a one off to help the community.
Makz.
