DOs and DON'Ts of Crafting

We need a post like this to help educate crafters to perhaps help reduce lag... or errors, or whatever...

Here's the most basic that I've heard.

If you are using crafting components in bags, TAKE THEM OUT and have them come from your normal inventory, and not your bag/sub-inventory.

Do not place containers with items in them inside a private chest, not good!

Do not place stackables in a private chest... ((Iffy, need clarification))

The one involving chests is here:

Overloading Chests: - Putting in more than 25 pages of general items OR 7 pages of stacked items will cause your chests inventory to not display properly and genrate error messages for all to see. If you accidentally overload a chest, your best solution is to unload it. To unload, unload what you see, close chest, typically if you wait a minute and reopen it you will usually see some more inventory, remove that, repeat until done. For best results leave the emptied chest unused for a day (server reload) before filling properly.

As far as crafting, heres some good rules of thumb:

1. FIRST AND FOREMOST - If you see an error in the right side text window, pay attention to if it comes up when YOU are doing something - if it is and you cant figure out why, contact any well versed crafter or a DM. Do not simply continue generating the errors.

2. Do not put stacked craftable components in bags. Most will generate an error when unstacking. If you want a little more space, you can pre-unstack them and then bag the individual compnents. DO NOT PUT BAGS IN PRIVATE CHESTS!!!!!!!!!!!

3. If you have flowers in your inventory, convert them to dyes before curing / tanning / hardening hides - for some reason this causes problems.
