Dwarven Waraxe

Let me start by saying that the only way I know how to present this is going to sound like I have an attitude about it and I do not- Im just not that articulate.

Dwarven is the key word here and the Myrk Waraxe is Pally only. Huh? I built Manny as a Fighter, Weapons Master, Dwarven Defender. None of those classes allow for *use magic device* and as you can see- I cant add a Paladin level.

2 questions-

#1- Can the pally only restriction be lifted?

#2- Is there somewhere that there is a list of what the top weapons do so the specialization of a weapon you cant use can be avoided?

Again- I dont have a tude- Im just vocabularilly(is that a word?) challenged

This one Im not certain on, but I thought that Dwarven Waraxes were not in the generic greataxe catagory or even in the normal axe one - subsequently if you took a feat involving a dwarven waraxe, the myrk waraxe wouldnt help you anyway.

If you had a feat in greataxe or in regular axe, thats too bad - three are various restrictins on various weapons, part of life.

As far as giving out info on what the 'top weapons' are, I wont do it - but thats only me (sorry, I can be a purist prude sometimes

Then its not a dwarven waraxe. I recall seeing the dwarven waraxes having that, or I'm finally off my rocker. And as Silentus points out, I think they are their own type, not a member of greataxe.

first feat is Exotic- The waraxe is an exotic weapon-
But Why call it a Dwarven waraxe if only a pally can use it? Isnt that a Paladin waraxe?
And after putting weapon focus, superior weapon focus, overwhelming critical and more fighting feats geared to the axe, it is a major let down not to be able to use it- No biggie- I wanted to add Figan into the mix- I just miss Manny *pouts*

It's called a dwarven waraxe because they 'invented' it or at least made the weapon popular. Typically dwarves use them, but it's not exclusive to the race.

Now I'm not positive but it seems what Kedra is discussing isn't what a drawven war axe is but what the ATS best weapon in that category of Dwarven waraxe is. Now with his Exotic weapon feat he has access to many exotic weapons. He chose Dwarven waraxe to spend additonal feats into. The best waraxe that is available through ATS is exp gold waraxe for him because Myrk. is Paladin only. This restriction precludes Manny , his dwarf, from using the Myrk waraxe.
HAd he chosen say Katana (bastard sword i belive) to spend his additional feats into (weapon focus, improved crit, etc) he would have the lovely Katana of the Dragons or Razor to weild which in comparison to an exp gold waraxe squash it.
To further the best Waraxe available is (and I haven't been every where) i believe +7 which wont hit a Demi lich. Hmmm yes ATS is a closed topic but without saying it Kedra may have a valid point about a crack in the door. Mind you the Big picture is a little fuzzy from here and there could be issues that I dont see. So I defer.

I do see the problem there, Nor'il was going to use a dwarven war axe, until I figured this out...

The logical way to fix this is to add a few more, up to myrk. However, there is a larger problem at hand with the crafting system, and I don't think it's been solved. Makz. has run into a barrier of sorts and can't add anymore crafted items.

edit: removing the pally restriction on the highest one would help, however.

Partially correct Phoenix, thanks, I can't add new CUSTOM items in, however, I will look at how far I went with Dwarven Waraxes, I wasn't aware that I had stopped at gold, was pretty sure I had gone all the way to Myrk, I see a normal Myrk, and the exceptional one in my toolset at the moment... we shall see. Keep in mind I added the recipe for the dwarven axe when HotU first came out, while I was tweaking our ATS along with shurikens etc... anyhow, I'll look.

Makz can't add anymore custom items? Hmm, I must of been under a rock somewhere when this came out.

If I remember correctly, the same "problem" happens with the myrk bastard sword, only usable by lawful good AND paladin.
