Seems my rogue had more hiding in plain sight then I thought. Appearently it decided to disappear off of my GameSpy Account. The Account name is "DustyFox" and I had 2 characters on that account. One was the Dwarf, the other the high level halfling rogue. Anyone seen him? Gabriel Rodriguez FoxFuzz@comcast.net

Gabriel, by any chance have you been playing with friends at your home on a LAN?? if so... that is why, that PC would be ummm.. dustinmoongazer perchance? I found 5 versions of that PC in various directories. This is caused by players on a home LAN having the same CLIENT port... note, in your nwplayer.ini you should have each machine use a different port ie: machine 1 5120 machine 2 5119 and down for however many are on, without this, it causes ghosting, and ultimately server problems also.
Thanks,
Makz.

Well, I finally got home and Yeah, I understand how the LAN thing works. I was visiting a friend's place and honestly, had not the slightest clue how his network is set up (Yay for multiple Switches/Hubs ). Bad news is, Dusty Moongazer is gone. Even resetting up on my sytstem, and connecting back the way I normally do (directly to a cable connection) the character is Kapoot. I doubt ya'll can/will do much since it was partally my mistake, but eh, any advise would be appreciated. Untill then, Keep on Rockin' in the free world. Gabriel Character the Deleteanator.

Luckily for you, I had left a copy of that PC in your FoxFuzz server directory, I have moved it over to the DustyFox one now.
Above is what you HAVE to do with NWN, it has NOTHING to do with router!!

Now i see yer getting fistey, and I don't like that much.
As for "Routers", "Lans" and "NWN", As I stated, I had no idea on the setup of my friend's networking, nor what port numbers and the like the computers in his house were on. Again, I take partial fault for not unlocking the inner mysteries of the elusive IP numbers, and delving into my extensive learnings of computers (which is none) to make the world, or atleast my world a better place by investigating my buddy's setup, and berating my own ignorance of such a dire and sensitive subject.
Mr. Mak, I do thank you for pulling up Dustin Moongazer, though I am not sure if the lvl 1 character was a real attempt to remedy or quiet me, or if it was an inside joke to pick on my ignorance (which i'm berating myself for as we speak).
I've re-read everything on the boards though, and have some idea of what to do next time I make the trip out of town. Thanks to those who posted and taught me just a wee bit more about computers.
~Da Fox
P.S. On a serious note, Just lemmie know if you can seriously help, or just be honest and say, "Sorry kid, you *ucked up, go level another character."
Thanks.

Actually, I genuinely thought that was the proper version, and sorry but it was the only one around after I removed the various ones, and it had the latest date/time on it, which is why it got saved Makz.
