Greetings fellow Fredians,
I am going to feel ill later today I already know, lack of sleep and I are not best friends... however, at midnight I could not sleep, so from then until around 4am my time, I got all the following done.
1. Changed ALL craftable high end weapons in ALL classes to no longer use incorrect stat boosters, it was pointed out to me that a slash bonus on a battleaxe was useless, but of course so then would be bludgeoning on a bludgeon weapon etc etc... I also corrected several other bits and pieces as I went. Therefor, if you have ANY weapon from Mithril upwards from crafting, and it has a base type and then the same type on it as a bonus, ie: Damage Bonus Slashing +5 put it in a chest and you will get a shiny new version corrected to give more useful stats. Once again sorry, but I have never claimed to be the fountain of all knowledge of that sort of thing... hopefully that fixes that once and for all.
Edit: before I forget all metal tipped quarterstaves that had bludgeon bonus got done as well of course.
2. Checked and removed entry in armorcrafting book 2 that referred to requiring a chainmail of same sort to make half-plate armor, you do not, you merely require 28 ingots from memory.
3. Salandra and I came up with a MUCH more elegant solution for the night time spawns, and it works now, no more zombies should be spawned where they are placed except at night.
4. Relocated a lot, hopefully all, of the home Ke'Haar stones in such a way that if anyone but the owner arrives at it, they will find a locked door around them, they cannot go anywhere, that should discourage players from using the random, unintentional saves in the books due to the bioware saves, not a bug.
5. Added Mandragon's mailman system, the one and only mailman is in the West Styne Inn for now, I am uncertain as to how well he works, but he is easy to work and is persistent via the bioware database, you can leave mail for other players with him, think of him as a more interactive message board. I do have a none mail man compiled version of the MOD sitting on the main server at the moment, in case he causes any problems, all other updates are in place on it except him.
All? for today
Enjoy,
Makz.
