When I try to look at Shard Wendt and Whino Williams' miscilanious item inventories (the one furthest right), my game client craps out on me. I am guessing that there's a problem with a resource ID or something. Just curious what they have in there that might be causing this.
to be fair, I am running my NWN on a Mac, with the expansions added by the Open Knight's Auto Updater.

As I have recently discovered, there is a CEP patch on the Bioware site. Make sure you are running the right version of the hak.

I am pretty sure I am running version 1.01, what is it that Wendt and Willaims have that might be cconfusticating my poor computer?

Doh! I'll leave it there, just for posterity. Anyway, I found another inventory that crashes my client in the Styne Crypts. Apparently opening this sarcophagus, makes my NWN poop out.

Clove, my advice to you, do a total fresh install. Client related and or CEP related.

Hey Clove,
Sorry for not catching this sooner, you caught me while I was out of town. Woo, a fellow mac user! Let's rejoice:-)
I have never had problems with Shard or Wino's inventories. Then again, the only real difference I can tell between you and I is that I don't use OpenKnights. It's pretty easy to drop things in the appropriate folder by hand. Did the recommended re-install fix your problem? If not, maybe you and I could chat further about the mac install. I've looked briefly at OpenKnights stuff, but, well, it took me less time to manually install than it did to download the OK package:-)
Hanah ... now if only the money fairy would help me snag that new GeForce 6800

yeah, I havn't reinstalled yet (I'm lazy ...). Yay for Macs!!! Good to see that I'm not the only one The "Inventory of Death" has calmed down a bit, so it may have been a fluke at least in the styne crypts. I'm still curious what's in Wendt's miscellaneous inventory though.

Here is a start: nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewforum.html?forum=71This openknights thing looks like an ongoing development project (I saw a few recent posts from its author that it is still being worked on). I am sure bugs are introduced and fixed from version to version. You may be a victim of this natural process. All I can say is inform yourself the best you can with what is going on there, and search the Mac discussion area for others who might have had crashes.

Ok, this is my first post here and will try to make it a good one. I had the same exact problem. I would try to click on the "misc" tab at the blacksmith and everytime it would give me the fault. So, luckily I had a whole nother setup to troubleshoot. Ok, long story short: I uninstalled everything and started over again fresh. I installed the gold pack then the HotU, then downloaded the CEP. I also updated NWN like we're supposed to. When I tried ti log into the server, I got the message I was missing some CEP files. SO I went back to where NWN recommends you to get the CEP, and there were all the extra files I needed to download. So I downloaded all those into my Hak folder, (cause they weren't there, even after I installed the CEP) and now the game works fine. Hope this makes sense, let me know if I can help you out w/ it.

ok just had another person last night who was crashing when trying to view Sharrds miscs inventory page... they reinstalled CEP and all is well now... what I think is happening (and correct me if I wrong on this devs ) is that this crashing is caused by the violins on that page of sharrds inventory... my theory is that those violins are calling the cep .erf file (forget the exact filename right now) and I do not think the CEP installer puts the .erf file in the right place on some systems it seems. so all I am saying is if your having this problem, please try reinstalling the CEP 1.01 before you panic about it.
